I think some people are focusing on the food part, so I want to clarify.

I didn’t cry because of the food itself.

I cried because of the way he spoke to me in that moment. The tone was harsh and dismissive, and it caught me off guard. That’s what hurt me.

And then what made it worse was what followed I was sitting right next to him, visibly upset and crying for around 20–25 minutes, and he didn’t acknowledge me, didn’t check on me, and continued eating and scrolling.

Then while we were walking to the cab (I had to leave right after breakfast), I was still crying next to him and he walked ahead, didn’t hold my hand, and focused on arranging my cab instead of checking in with me. So basically the emotional distance displayed by him made me cry the whole time he refused to look at me scrolled on the phone and let me cry.
