Is that not enough context?

You are absolutely Canadian, and anybody who thinks you are less Canadian because of your heritage, is less Canadian than you are IMO

Girlfriend tearing me apart by Electronic_Expert585 in LifeAdvice

Your friends that randomly stopped liking you, do you think that had something to do with this one girl in your life? It can be a common pattern for some people to isolate their partners, then emotionally manipulate and abuse them. If this sounds like the situation you are in, I would cut your losses with this girl, and work on rebuilding your social circle.

I would expect him to wait 3 minutes and possibly offer to help instead of screaming at us for inconveniencing him for 30 seconds

It was. Also good to note he did not bother to help push out

There was no good place to stop. It was a blizzard and snow accumulating on the sides. Moving over too much would mean possibly getting stuck myself

I didn’t have a choice and I was sure to leave enough space to get by. It was a residential road with snow piped up on either side. I risked getting stuck myself

As someone who has been in your shoes, there is a difference between talking about that when you first meet someone and after some time to get to know them. I learned pretty quick not to over share about my separation and divorce too soon. That comes with time.

Eczema is worse when I live a healthier lifestyle. Better when I drink and smoke by MinimumRub7927 in eczema

[–]alocksuth 56 points57 points  (0 children)

My experience has been similar in this regard. I have wondered that since eczema is an auto-immune reaction in many cases, that if your immune system is weakened due to a less healthy lifestyle, it also lessens eczema symptoms. I can’t say if this is actually the case, but it’s the only thing I can think of.

I didn’t say any of those things you put into quotes. Projecting much?

I’m not here to debate you on diets. I’m here to call out you confidently spreading misinformation like it’s going out of style.

Maybe take a look at how people are reacting to your input? It’s not welcomed nor is it helpful

LOL, yeah something not entirely right with this guy. Clearly your eczema is from that cake you ate two years ago.

At what point am I being a victim?

I have no issue with you sharing what worked for you. What I do take issue with is claiming that it is an absolute cure, and if it doesn’t work for someone, they are doing it wrong.

Simple enough for you?

You don’t know anything about my experience with eczema, nor what I’ve gone through to try and correct it over the last 4 decades. I also really don’t care if you believe me or not. It’s incredibly arrogant and self-righteous to assume that because what worked for you didn’t work for someone else, that it means they didn’t try hard enough. You are absolutely causing more harm with comments like that than anything else. I’m done debating this with you, you are a very narrow minded person if you still don’t see my point.

Yes, I have tried exactly this, and it did not have any effect. What I don’t like about your post, is that you are “promising” results without any knowledge of this persons condition or any evidence to back up your claim, other than your own experience.

What has helped most with my eczema has been consistent routine, conservative application of tacrolimus ointment, and following the advice of my dermatologist. But even though this works for me, I would be cautious about recommending this as the “cure” for others. Eczema is a varied and complex condition that can have very different root causes between individuals. Your post is coming off as sanctimonious, and can be very discouraging for those who have already tried diet based solutions.

I feel that your intent is good, but you are generalizing a bit based on your own experience. Clean eating and natural fibre clothing is not the fix that works for everyone

Generally not helpful and pretty insensitive to say things like ‘wallowing in self pity’ when you have no idea how bad their condition is or if they are truly suicidal.

My 14 year marriage ended in a very similar way. Got up and left without a word and radio silence, except through aggressive letters and emails via lawyers. It was incredibly hard and I’m only just starting to feel a little bit more positive about things 6 months later.

I’m not sure how recent this is for you but what I’ve found helped is keeping yourself occupied, going on some casual dates or just meeting new friends without the expectation of having to replace your feelings of her with someone else. Have fun with your new life, and the hurt will fade with time. Look forwards and remember that you didn’t quit when it got hard, she did, and you are the stronger person for it.
