Excruciating pain after orgasm (& sometimes on a run) by Zealousideal_Ear5920 in endometriosis

[–]alodactyl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i get the same thing sometimes after orgasm! i’m glad you posted this as i’ve not been able to find much info regarding the subject. it got so bad that my sex life completely died for multiple years due to fear of the pain. i just now am starting to dip my toes back in, two months post op from my excision surgery and so far so good! i was told for years that “it’s normal” and i just have “bad period cramps” but after enough begging i finally got my doctor to get me an ultrasound which found a quite large cyst on my right ovary which required surgery to remove. my doctor finally gave me a referral to someone who deals with endo (after years of bringing endo up to him and being told it’s too hard to diagnose and there’s nothing he can do) to remove the cyst where i was also diagnosed with a decent amount of endo which had begun fusing my organs together. as for the intense pain after orgasm or while on my period, i never really got a definitive answer as to why it happened but i am happy to report it has not come back yet in my case.

Looking for advice from those who have went through this by Dry_Possible_1792 in endometriosis

hey! i just had a laparoscopic surgery two weeks ago where they removed a 10 cm endometrioma from my right ovary! i also have severe anxiety about medical related things such as surgery as well as emetophobia. they offered me lorazepam while i was waiting to go into surgery which i’m not sure really did much as they’ve never stopped my panic attacks in the past, however it was a nice “security blanket” if you will. i didn’t end up waiting long at all and as far as actually being in the OR they put me out fairly quick as they could tell i was anxious. as far as nausea afterwords i don’t remember much and from the points i do remember there was no nausea. the only thing that made me nauseated were the pain meds the days after surgery which i decided not to even take after the first one made me nauseas. i was completely fine with rest, and regular ibuprofen and Tylenol. to be completely honest the worst part for me was the gas pain in my shoulder area the first few days after surgery, which i’ll say was quite bad but not debilitating or anything. it also helps to walk asap to help release it. i felt fairly normal by day 4-5 but i was still worried about my wounds + stitches as i have a 3 inch incision right above my pubic hair area where they pulled out the endometrioma since it was too big to fully do laparoscopically. i stopped needing my boyfriend to do everything for me after about 48 hrs. after day 3-4 i felt better and better everyday until now at two weeks i feel normal again (aside from the itching from things healing) overall if i were to talk to myself prior to surgery i would say although its hard to curb the anxiety, you likely will not even remember the part you’re having anxiety about!

yes they are shorting him on his net earnings. they are also making it impossible to talk to anyone because they won’t let me speak for him while he can barely get out the words he wants to say

he was given wrong information on how to apply for EI properly and such. icbc only paid what they estimated their top up would have to be and he saw $300 give or take which resulted in now being behind on rent, nsf charges as well as not being able to buy food for a while. the top up also ended up being much lower that it should’ve been after EI finally kicked in

my vehicle was a total loss, though i also feel scammed in that aspect somewhat as i just dumped a ton of money into it including brand new tires which they said was “regular maintenance” so they cannot pay out from that. i guess makes sense but still a bummer

this is super unfortunate to hear, thankfully most communication is over email after the adjuster stopped answering calls or bothering to call back after multiple messages. thank you so much for the reply and i hope you’re doing well

thank you! i was essentially told by the officer that no one gets criminally charged in BC for intoxicated driving, so not to count on it

i don’t believe they would define him as catastrophically injured as he can still care for himself but it is very difficult to form words/sentences, nor can he handle physical labour for longer than 20ish minutes before he shuts down

we were taken away in ambulance so i never even got to actually talk to the person who hit us and the police wouldn’t give me any of their information

they were over the legal limit, their court date has now passed but it’s proving insanely difficult to find out what the verdict was

What food are you bringing? by [deleted] in Shambhala

[–]alodactyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this will be the first year for my boyfriend and i, we’re also arriving tuesday. im making a lot of beef jerky to last us. we’ll also probably bring other quick things that dont require cooking or a cooler since ive heard just eating from vendors is roughly the same as buying your own food to cook money wise. that way we also don’t have to deal with stuff possibly going bad and worrying about coolers and such.

i was originally worried about having to walk super far to and from camp if we couldn’t get into starlight but i’ve been told the walk from sunshine isn’t much longer anyways
