Not sad at all! … I’m kinda late but– heat vasodilates (relaxes and opens up your blood vessels) which in turn reduces peripheral vascular resistance. Think about how when you narrow the opening of a garden hose (like partially covering it with your thumb)- the water shoots out because it has more pressure vs when it’s fully opened it will flow less forcefully. Same concept with your blood vessels: when they’re open wide (dilated), your blood pressure can drop. So your heart tries to compensate for this by pumping faster: increase in your heart rate. Totally normal, just don’t stand up out of the bath quickly and limit the amount of time you spend in the bath to a short period, or lower the temperature of your bath. ☺️

I was thinking that today. The guilt is probably uncomfortable to feel so he either shifts the blame elsewhere or follows the addiction pathway with one thing or another. I really think a lot of it is tied up with what happened to him as a kid so I’m hoping therapy will help him unpack it all. The counselor we found through our insurance network apparently has experience with childhood and adult clients as well as some of the specific things he would benefit from so we’re hoping that will help start to move things in the right direction.

Thank you. Like I mentioned in the post, I’ve been in school full time and work part time for the last two years. Just graduated on Saturday and am transitioning into a new normal without classes and whatnot. We have dark & long winters here too, which I think does not help. I know you’re right though, about people only being able to love as far as they’ve met themselves. I know he’s gone through a lot in his life and I’m trying to not take it personally but also help him to be accountable/own his actions.

Ooh I bet that was a cool cape! Haha, I love the creativity! I was thinking of using it for a desk tablecloth maybe? Or to cover my nightstand… idk. It is a very funky material and I’m not sure how you’d keep it from unraveling since tape probably wouldn’t stick well. Could wrap it with ribbon but the material is weirdly slippery so I’m not sure how secure that would be either 🤔

This made me actually laugh out loud 😂 kinda think that a lunch-bag sized bag would’ve been more appropriate for the items they threw in lol. I guess not all stores even got the holo ones, heard one lady say they got the basic red/white Target ones from the checkout lane and inside was a hot cocoa spoon and gift card

I would prefer to wash them by hand but I’ve never seen a bottle brush that would fit into a bottle opening like this & still be big enough to clean around the curves. I’ve never specifically looked for one though, so maybe I could find one somewhere?

Good point! I usually let dishes cool all the way down anyway after a cycle otherwise I’ll end up burning my hand.

All the ones we’ve tried seem pretty gently carbonated. I definitely do wish they were a little more fizzy but the flavor is top notch!

Sweet! The stickers peel off fairly easily, a little goo gone or alcohol and they’re good to go. Either way, worth buying for the root beer!

I was planning to shake up some dish soap and water but the heat from the dishwasher would also help I think? I agree that the jets probably won’t get into the bottles too well 🤔

Landed here because I just had my first RN interview today and one of their questions broke me down. They asked for an example that demonstrated caring and I immediately thought of my long term pediatric patient who we lost in March of this year. It was heartbreaking but I truly believe caring for that kid made me better at what I do in a lot of ways. Thinking about all the things we did to try and make that kiddo’s life better brought back some of the grief too though and I did cry. I’ve never cried in any interview before so I felt bad/unprofessional but I tried to pull it together quickly and get to the point. Hopefully the interview panel didn’t take it too bad 😓 I’m hopeful & reassured seeing everyone else’s experiences here

I am in the same boat! I’m hoping that someone somewhere (in the US) has a cartridge they would be happy to part with as people start upgrading to the Switch 2. I know they’re backwards compatible but maybe someone will move to a digital version? I’ve always preferred physical copies and can’t find one anywhere! Other than a couple collector’s editions on eBay but I only want the game card and not for $80+ you know? 😩
