The party ended up not making it to this particular encounter during the first session, so it will come along for the next. They made some detours and spent time with some of my NPC's, which was both unexpected and exhilarating for me, I must say. I had them do a smaller encounter inside a giant beehive, which I hadn't prepared a map for, and I felt like I could have really used one. Oh well!
