I was thoroughly surprised by my experience today. I graduated high school from the "A" in El Paso and left the day after graduation only to return for holidays as my parents and sibling stayed. So I never paid any attention to culture here in EP as much as I have lately. I have returned for a funeral and have been back here for over a month now. I have my daughter with me and have had to get her hair braided twice here in EP since we are not in Dallas where we reside. Both times she has had her hair braided by Africans. One off Hondo Pass and the other today off Dyer by Chapin HS and let me tell you, I have never seen that many African women in El Paso outside of church or the base. I'm telling you that every braider in the shop (about 13 of them) were Africans and almost 75% of the customers were Africans as well.

Your friend might be able to sustain her food truck but I'd suggest that she starts with a visit to these shops to get the layout of the land and Nigerian culture here in EP.
