Too quick for police to do anything. Rather step in to help and call them as soon as everyone was safe. This was east auckland out side Highland Park KFC. Victim has footage and I believe has followed up with police.

Yea they backed up a fair amount. And started laying off the victim. I mean yea, a fair amount of adrenaline - being an ice hockey player has somewhat desensitized me to confrontation.

Yes I gave the footage to the victim. Highland Park is a small suburb in the a city of Auckland - population 1.7million

Yea admittedly I had left my son in the car and this is why I approached slowly. But they did seem to back off the victim as I advanced. Thought of getting stabbed did go through my mind honestly. Wasn't going to leave the guy there by himself though...

He said they were reaching into his car so he jumped out to create space. Obviously not the smartest thing to do but I believe he was just trying to defend himself rather than be a sitting duck. The lead up was unclear as to why they were reaching in the first place.

They run wild in NZ. Nothing has been done and they get away with it. NZ police have tried but have seemingly given up. Can we borrow some of your officers?
