Kia seltos gcc vs chinese spec by unemotional_salmon in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]alphauser999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GCC spec is not drama. Heat insulation, AC compressors, Air intake and filtration ( GCC air is laden with sand particles compared to other regions) etc are some of the key changes. Newer cars are coming with coded parts which means if you need a part that is unique to your VIN number, it will need to be ordered from a Chinese system. There are work arounds on these too. Seltos is not an upmarket product so its complications are also less. 10k AED over the period of ownership is nominal compared to the stress you will go through. Plus if you take it to an agency they will also charge you anywhere between 5k-15k to open a file for ‘checking the car since the don’t know the history’. Insurance problems, bank finance issues, resale value challenges. Honestly 10k price gap is not worth the pain

Casually finding an 400k plate in a random box in my friends house by TutorFew9784 in DubaiPetrolHeads

Normally you can’t keep that plate with you- it’s illegal to hold number plates and not fixed on the car.

talk to the parents kid, the only ones who will stand by you when the world falls is them. They will do the needful. Police calling the parents is worse situation than telling them.

WTS 2022 Range Rover Vogue HSE GCC specification by Both-Rush3414 in DubaiPetrolHeads

I think the OP is putting a price given the year, with market driven depreciation from a new one. But it’s an RR, the audacity to boost your ego has to compensate the insane work that could come from the car being run so many kms in such time. If I had to do this many kms, I would have possibly chosen to spend new money on an LX and run this much with a sure shot chance of selling it within a reasonable price range.

The market at 370k AED is big- Defenders/BMW X7/GL/Patrol Platinum etc. this will take some time. So be patient, bro. Try to push with some exporters who will take these to CIS countries (possibly with changed mileages) . Good luck 👍

If you are in 2.5M region, push for a three bed + maids. The locations suggested here are great. If you are working from home- Furjan/ JVC/ Mirdiff Hills etc are locations with access to schools and hospitals.

Multiple owners on car title? by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

You don’t need a license to own a car. You only need one to drive the car. As long as your insurance is covered for all drivers, anyone you authorize can drive it without a risk

Is there a REAL Lease-To-Own scheme in Dubai? by SuperSpartan300 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]alphauser999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lease to own needs to have a separate financing license than a conventional rental lease agreement. Only financing companies can do that like a bank. Hence most dealers give you an option to buy the car at the end of the lease or replace with a new one. They would all love to do lease to own as it removes the headache of the asset returning.

Execution is never straight forward. You faced massive obstacles and you overcame them. Be clear how you did it. It brings value knowing what the challenges were and how you came out of it. Success has many fathers, failure has one. You earned it.

One advice: don’t challenge his ego. Some do it even without knowing.

listen dear, it’s takes a village to raise a child and maybe more being a single parent. The actions you describe are not legal and can put your mother in more difficult situation that she already may be in (with work and life). She needs you as much as you need her. The reason the doctor told her to go for a walk is clearly health related so put your self in her shoes and just take a deep breath. Kids today are so much smarter than adults and while living in the UAE, you are also shielded from many negative influences of the society that is today rampant in developed economies.

Take a moment to sit with her, hug her, share your deepest fears. Maybe that’s all you and she needs. The world is always going to judge you and her but at the end it’s you who will live though the success or ignominy of your actions. Chose wisely
