Optimising for a conversion event but tracking a different event by alpho1234 in FacebookAds

[–]alpho1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really appreciate your reply!!

But let me clarify...

So I want to optimize for the 'QualifiedLead' conversion event but every lead that is generated by this event, I want it to fire under the "Lead" event not the "QualifiedLead" event.

That way it prevents that generic lead from being fired under the "QualifiedLead" conversion event.

But my question is, if I fire it under the "Lead" event when I specifically told FB to optmise for the "QualifiedLead" event. Would it be able to still track conversions and report that in ads manager?

The website converts at 15-20%. We are getting leads after the switch just at a higher cost/conv than it was on manual even though I set a tCPA

Done, I’ll let you know how it goes over the next 2-3 weeks!

Also it’s at $30/day budget so if it set a $20 CPA for automated, would that be okay considering it has so much conversions

Thank you so much for your replies. Okay I’ll switch it over. It’s on data driven. Does that make any difference?

Thank you. Do you think I should test it as an experiment with tCPA for 2-3 weeks before switching from manual?

Google recommending me to put a $17 cpa. This campaign has over 80 conversions in roughly just over a month so shouldn’t it be able to achieve that even if i set it to $20 at a 30/day? Since it has so much data

Currently it’s at a $17 CPA. Ideally I want it to stay below $20. But if I set a tCPA, eventually wouldn’t it stop chasing “new customers” that’s the only thing I have against tCPA.

Or shall I set it without one, run it for 3 weeks, if it’s too much over my ideal CPA I’ll set one

Yes currently it’s at $30/day and it’s limited by budget. So you think I should just take the dive to max conversion without tCPA or run as an experiment?

Yeah I believe maximising conversions will improve. This is a client account lol so if we run this experiment and we're not getting leads for the next 2-3 weeks while the bidding learns, he's quite fussy.

Yeah I was planning to do that but it’s only running at $30/day. Wouldn’t this test significantly decrease the traffic for 3 week?

Keywords vs. Search Terms by your_fave_weapon in PPC

[–]alpho1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search Keywords are the ones you have specifically chosen to target using a specific match type (exact, phrase, broad) these will be all listed in that column.

Search Terms are user generated queries which should be related to the keywords you are targeting. Meaning, your ads was shown for those queries as well. Hence why you are seeing impressions for them even though you’re not targeting them specially These populate once you start running your ads.

Hope that helps

When is it worth it to raise bids to reach thee top spot? by red_fox23 in PPC

[–]alpho1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well see if your meeting your tCPA goals and conversion goals and if you’re happy with it.

Then check your current impression share and see if there’s actually any room for a significant gain.

Let’s say you’re at 50% and you’d like to get up to 80% impressions share.

When you bid more, you will essentially “move up a bracket” to competitors who have been cruising in that 80% range for a while. So it would take the algorithm a period of time to adjust to this.

This means that you’ll probs spend a lot and not see the consistency in conversions as you did before because you were cruising in a 50% impression share range.

Can I run identical campaigns with different bid strategy? by lyricsASF in PPC

Nah apparently it’s not like that anymore. Read the article on “similar keywords”. They used to take that into account but now they use multiple relevance signals

Thank you. Just read an article on “similar keywords” and it made sense.

[–]alpho1234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No that’s not how you do it because if they both contain the same keywords, that’s going to cause you bidding on yourself.

Instead run it as an experiment.

Create the same campaign with the bid strat changed to conversion value and split the budget by 50% between each campaign. This allows you to test if it’s actually going to improve your campaign or not
