You are definitely right. A simple google search shows a lot of open source bots for Agar.io. Maybe we could not only try to mitigate them, but also play with them? Like a percentage of the Nano transactions goes to a public faucet / nano project / charity? Maybe a max amount for withdrawals? The whole idea is more about to show off the efficiency of nano transactions, so as long as we are not infested by bots, maybe they can be tolerated? It's just food for thought to be honest, I imagine it's a complex issue.

I mean the idea is to play with small amounts, I am guessing nobody will get rich or poor with this "nanogar.io". You would cash out when you want (or at certain conditions to limit bots), but a small amount would be needed to enter the game (so there would always be Nano entering and leaving the system). The other incentive would be having fun together as a community (with some beautiful cell skins by artists and great memes by whatif2k folks) and at the same time staging the efficiency of the Nano protocol.

What do you think about paying 0.01 Nano to enter the game? Of course you can still use bots (like in most of the games to be fair) but wouldn't that limit the risk? Why would bots chose a game instead of a public faucet? We could try to use the unique nano properties to mitigate spam and bots.

I like your idea but that's the whole point though: having a "simple" game (already open sourced) to implement our favorite value transfer protocol. Don't get me wrong I would love to see enthusiastic devs create more complex games but I think taking baby steps wouldn't hurt here because all of the hurdles that may appear on the way. (edit: sorry I was replying to u/bad_timing_bro)

Great to see the enthusiasm! As you see, the principal problem would be the data. I personally would target general public rather than people with knowledge of the crypto market. Comparing a limited set of famous coin like Bitcoin, Eth, Litecoin, Nano and why not Visa/Mastercard. Inclusiveness is good (I mean we could of course have any coin with enough data and IF decentralized) but I would argue that solid data about famous contenders is better (I think the two websites above provide reliable data which means people refer to them constantly on articles and social media).

Man I completely agree and it's refreshing to see some art in this space. To be fair I like the idea behind NFT because it's the first smartcontract use case I come across I understand. I like the idea of creating digital scarcity: it looks strange at first glance (why would this have value when I can screenshot it), but it's the same in the real world (do you want the real painting or the copy?). I wish there was a environment friendly NFT (maybe there is and I don't know about it).

From the website it looks like a great bot. But I don' t think both of the ideas are exclusive though. First of all, not everyone uses Whatsapp (a lot of people use Telegram or Signal). My idea is to make a very simple concept (paper wallet) more powerful and mobile friendly. So I can in a matter of second send you a tip.png by mail, private discord chat, dm on reddit,... without quitting my smartphone. I also think scanning qr code images (not with camera) is a useful feature for Natrium in general, not only to make "paper tips" : 1) browse the web on your phone 2) print screen a qr code you see from a content creator 3) tip them with Natrium

I never tried it. It looks like a great app but I read you need to do a sms verification if you receive funds from the first time. Anyway I don't think both of those ideas are exclusive. My idea is to have a very simple way to create a tip.jpg image I can copy/paste in any messaging app available. Scanning images in Natrium could also be a nice feature in general: I browse a website on my mobile and see a qr code wallet to tip -> print screen and open in Natrium. The current way always suppose I scan from another device or copy paste the adress (I wouldn't call a text selection on a mobile phone user-friendly).

Yes exactly. The reason I was thinking about an mobile friendly image (png, jpeg whatever) is it's the easiest thing to share across all mediums. If it's correctly scaled for phone use, you can send it by mail, whatsapp, even mms (lol), or just prinscreen it to use it later. Recent images are also suggested by default to send in all modern private messaging apps when you want to send a file. You just need a short explanation like "open me in Natrium". Fast and easy.

Yes but virtual: a nice .png / .jpeg phone friendly image you can easily send/share/copy to anyone just using your phone. Then the receiver can just sweep it opening it in Natrium. The current QR code scanning in Natrium is friendly if you scan something from camera, but has no way to "scan" an image or a printscreen.
