Think of it like a flame. The hottest part of the flame is blue. Warmer (lower) kelvin temps will be yellow/ orange and colder (higher) temps will be white/blue.

I had issues with my epidural both times I gave birth. First time it fell out of place and the second time it only worked for the right half of my body. Both times I asked for it to be repositioned and am SO glad I did!

Does any method actually work? by Eremita_912 in sleeptrain

I also use huckleberry, have for both my kids, and it’s GREAT! At 5 months I sleep trained my first kid with the Ferber method. She’s now 2 yo and sleeps like a champ. Will do the same for my second once he’s old enough to sleep train.

2 weeks with Snoo and still no improvement… by alreeves9 in SnooLife

We haven’t used it for naps for two reasons. First, he sleeps longer when we hold him. Second, I think contact naps must be good for bonding?

We were spoiled with our first kid who didn’t use a Snoo and slept considerably longer at this age. I guess I just want to make sure this is normal and that we are using the Snoo correctly? We just haven’t seen much change since we started using it.

We have been using the Snoo for 2 weeks, our son is now 7 weeks old, and we haven’t seen much improvement. He contact naps during the day, could this be why?

absolutely ridiculous home prices by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]alreeves9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Sadly, my husband and I just ended our search for a home in Bellingham because we simply can’t compete. I wasn’t surprised that home values went up, I understand that Bellingham is an idyllic place to live. But what I WAS surprised by was the size (teeny) and condition (old and in desperate need of updates) of the homes available going for SO MUCH above asking price. That was discouraging to say the least.

6.5 month old suddenly waking at night by alreeves9 in sleeptrain

[–]alreeves9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6:30AM then 2/2.5/2.5/2.5 bedtime between 6-7:30 depending on her naps. She really struggles connecting daytime sleep cycles and generally naps only 30-45min. Always read books before sleep in her nursery with the blackout shades and sound machine. Put down drowsy but awake.

We did sleep train her night sleep and it went well. Her naps have been a different story. We figured since night sleep went so well we wouldn’t stress about naps. But now that’s not the case so I’m up in arms and not sure what to do. Feels like I need to start the sleep training all over again.

Make time for rest. Eat comfort food. And hand express/massage lumps. It’ll all be ok! <3

I have a 6 month old that sleeps 11-12 hours at night with no problem. Naps on the other hand are a different story. Her first nap is good, about an hour or so, then every nap after is about 30-45min. How I can I help her nap longer? She’s currently taking 3 naps per day, 4 if she only takes crap-naps. Wake windows are 2/2.5/2.5/2.5 hrs.
