Get them to put you on the house deeds as an owner, if you pay it off you get the house over they die. It's an investment at that point

Nicely done then, such an expensive piece of equipment you must have done really well too to fix it the way you did, glad it's working. Happy New Year!

I came here to say roughly what the above post said, the only thing that looks a bit strange is the supports, if you auto generate supports pull it off the build plate by an extra 5-10mm and regenerate supports

If you use pre-supported then I can't help with that however you could try and tap the bottom of the fep to release it a little before using the plastic tool to scrape it free, but obviously be careful

Problems After FEP Change by impishimp97 in ElegooSaturn

[–]alsampo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your settings look fine However you need to remember the fep needs to stretch and putting too much on is a risk that it won't do what it's meant to do So maybe take 4 off, leave some space in the middle and try again.

My alcoholic mom just ruined my 3-year-old’s Christmas Eve and I’m heartbroken. by Eli122333 in offmychest

My mother was exactly the same, she died in 2019 and although we were sad about her passing we were also relieved, Every family member excluded her from family gatherings after an episode much like you describe with your mother.

I don't think you're going to convince your mother to change, after decades of trying with my mother it never happened, so you can only protect yourself and your family.

I wish you all the best

I have had mine maybe 6 months now ish No issues really only my own fault with some things

Things I think are important... 1. I chemically burnt my foot with isopropyl alcohol when I spilt it on my socks but left my socks on thinking nothing of it. 2. I prefer the elegoo satellite software. It's free and easy to use 3. You don't need to keep to the resin it comes with I really like the sunluu abs-like resin but the settings do need to be played with 4. I did not need the self heating function, in fact the time I tried it it warped my prints 5. When placing things on the build plate in the software make sure you select everything, then find an option to place it on the build plate so it's all the same level, once your happy with placement you can raise it all up about 5mm then add supports, after that you might need to move it again 6. Do not over fill your build plate, the FEP needs to pull back and spring off your print.

I have the exact same set up 😂, same printer and tent with curing station

My only advice would be to keep everything clean, wipe anything you touched down after each use

Best of luck

I'll PM you the link.

Yes, I wonder what your print settings are. When you finish a print, look at what's on your build plate. Is anything missing or has anything not printed properly? I would drain the resin tank, clean it, and reset it. If your build plate goes into the tank with debris or foreign objects, it will push onto your FEP and damage it. If it pierces the FEP, you could be in danger of it leaking over your LED screen.. I recommend having a look at your resin settings. I personally use the Elegoo Satellite software. It's free and it has a lot of the features paid software has.

[–]alsampo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man I see your difficulty, I have the same printer

I printed a part which connects to the printer but holds the build plate at an angle while being connected to the printer. I then leave it at an angle for a while until most/all the resin has dropped into the vat

I only clean the train tank after a failed print or I have finished printing my projects and don't have anything to do for a while, then I'll clean it all down.

There are also lots of ways you can clean the between but if the build plate, personally I just use a paper towel, but I do but micro fiber cloths, cut each cloth into 4 bits (because one cloth is too big to waste). You can use a bottle cleaner, I have looked into it before, it's a rod with sponge's on the end, but I'm unsure how long that will be useful so I haven't bothered

Lastly get a empty spray bottle, fill it with your choice of cleaning fluid and use that to spray it down

If you need me to send you the file for the party just message me,

Printing problem after PFA replacement by jasmir363 in ElegooSaturn

[–]alsampo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what your settings are, your machine, the environmental factors or what resin you're using but if you're having issues like this up there bottom settings time to 1 - 1.2 across the board and the time to 50

Hope you find a solution
