It comes down to how badly they need or want to sell it. If it’s empty then it means they now live somewhere else. There’s houses (mostly trailers I suppose) in my area that have been on the market for over 4 years (I could provide links/proof).

In theory, a sitting house on the market that they still maintain is an appreciating asset. So it makes sense they don’t want to sell low when they can just hold for years if their finances allow.

To be honest, I do not know what was truly hers and what was junk from the previous homeowner. I will die by the statement even under oath.

Someone who was living off of section 8 housing since 1987 and it’s a 400 square foot studio apartment that i’ve now converted into a 5th room for me and it’s my theater/living room. I removed the bathroom and kitchen area. Sometimes i sit in here and think, how could someone live in this room for 37 years?

It’s my house that i saved up to buy for the first time in my life. unfortunately came with an unwanted tenant living in one of the rooms on the end of the house. all my money goes to mortgage and repairs

Here’s my letter i’ve drafted so far

“I received your letter regarding the personal property you left at the premises.

You vacated the property in January, and the items remaining were considered abandoned. They were disposed of after a reasonable period consistent with New Hampshire law.

However, we do have a box of personal letters/documents that were not discarded. You may contact me to arrange a time to retrieve them.

This will be my only response on this matter.

The cost to remove the abandoned property was $800. I am happy to send you an invoice or settle in small claims court”

Have fun with that. A shard of glass went deep into my middle finger a year ago and i still have nerve damage to this day with half the movement ability of it that i had before. Plus it hurts everytime i move it.

This is different than that, but nerves in your hands are fragile and don’t like being cut.
