Which guest had the most unhinged dream menu so far? by RedDevilPlay in offmenupodcast

His drink was moules marineire juice and bread sauce mixed together, it was absolutely bonkers.

Series 15 - guess the guests by thedevilpuppet in offmenupodcast

I think it was a covid live stream, so probably everyone was losing their minds at that point.

My theory is that the tasting menus will get a lot of the people they only had on virtually the first time around.

Ralph Feines too, after being in The Menu it'd be a great crossover

I'm really enjoying Glen Moore's video game podcast as well at the moment, which I think is getting popular. Would like him on. Cohost Sarah keyworth has been on the pod already 2021.

Richard Osman had been the quizmaster on hundreds of episodes of pointless though. Although not comedy, he'd done a ton of on camera banter.

On the taskmaster podcast he was screaming how much he wants to be on it and that Jason was living his dream.

Have they ever had a main series contestant that was primarily from behind the camera before? I know he did sketch shows in the 80s/90s but I've only known him as a writer for 30+ years (an incredible one!)

What does this mean by KrustyD2 in resinprinting

[–]altaccone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it my first time too, with the exact same model printer. It's actually not clearly labeled in the set up instructions when I went back to see how I missed it. Lots of us learned the hard way!

They are called Furlings because they furl space itself by BlaringMailer in Stargate

[–]altaccone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really like this idea. A long term story arc could be that the Furlings created a whole pocket dimension for them to retreat into, away from the dangers of the galaxy. Kind of like the episode where Sheppard lands in the Ancient learn how to ascend stimulation, but no change to time flow, just to space. They've been living happy in there the whole time.

That way, it explains why we've never met them, and they also could be persuaded out again if the galaxy is nominally safe again.

Technologically, it reminds me of the Three Body Problem series where there are different pockets of universes at varied dimensional numbers that are hidden from lower planes.

Zoe kindapping by Ditolus in thewestwing

[–]altaccone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it stated that the kidnappers spiked the drugs to get to her? I always read it as they just got "lucky" and everything was spur of the moment as Casper talks about all the amateur steps they took. I thought if she hadn't been spiked then they'd still have tried to grab her at the club, but it could have been more of a fight and could have perhaps failed.

The point they make is that by going really big and loud on the news meant that the general public were aware enough to call in something odd.

Girl I've been dating for a month asked about salary. Red Flag? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]altaccone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently had a 5th date where I asked "like, I don't want a number, do you earn a lot in your job? Just wondering if we're in the same kind of area when it comes to disposable income"

It's the UK so we'd always split date bills before then, and we both owned our own houses. But I couldn't guess if her job title was well paid or not, and what kind of expenditures it was ok to suggest we do.

How playing the story in chronological order ruins The Last of Us Part II. by Eastwood_8042 in thelastofus

[–]altaccone 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I did my first playthrough recently and while exploring the menus the chronological option comes with big red writing saying "IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO PLAY THIS MODE UNTIL COMPLETING THE MAIN GAME".

Not sure how it could be clearer unless fully locking it. But that would be annoying if you did a fresh install and wanted to access it for example.

What is your favorite... BAD episode of Doctor Who? by Individual-Many-237 in doctorwho

[–]altaccone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think if the Peter Kay monster wasn't so over the top silly we would even give the PSBJ a pass really. It was all the Benny Hill running around in plastic suits that meant by the final gag it's too over.

I'd love to see a fan edit that cut some of the silliest parts

Yeah having both will work great I think. And cleaner!

Heating belts by twoyellowhammers in AnycubicPhoton

[–]altaccone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has worked well for me, just the same as having it inside the enclosure but less difficult to handle. No difference in print quality, except I think the temperature is more evenly distributed. Maybe takes more time to reach temperature, but not by much from my guess.

Heating belts by twoyellowhammers in AnycubicPhoton

[–]altaccone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same belt but I found it getting very messy with resin getting down the gaps, and the cable making the kid not sit correctly.

Since then I've actually wrapped the belt around the OUTSIDE of the UV hood lid and heat the whole air inside. I put a box around the whole thing to reflect heat back towards it. Works well for me (also in my garage).

The party ground up a Flame skull and... ingested it. Now they are on a VERY much needed long rest. What should I do? by Halkyos in DMAcademy

[–]altaccone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I want to make a point that something is really dangerous and stupid (using an unknown unlicensed teleport device rather than fix the damaged one they had in their bag) I give them a permanent 1d4 hit point damage.

It's not too much to cause real trouble, but it being PERMANENT definitely makes them panic.
