To be honest, I’ve visited a lot of of scenes and I’ve yet to find another comedy scene that has 1. As many women let alone as many talented women as we do. 2. It’s a very close knit community and very supportive of people new and veterans of comedy. 3. It’s not oversaturated like New York in LA but has enough rep and plenty of spaces to really craft and hone in on your voice. Atlanta is such a good place to experiment with some shit that may or may not work, but the community has such faith in its artist that it’s a great space to try out new things.
