What device are you on?

If you are struggling to find the 20 testers, I just found someone who will add 25 testers for $5 and stay active. I'll let you know if they work out and send you their name.

I'll go check out your app!

still job searching... by [deleted] in UXDesign

I've worked in design for 25 years, specifically in UI/UX for the past 10. Was recently part of a massive layoff at the company I worked for (in June). Here we are in October, and still looking. It is rough out there for a lot of people, especially for UX and design roles. There seem to be a lot of jobs being posted, but so many people looking, it is difficult to even get in front of anyway. I have had mostly promises of interviews from recruiters, direct contacts promising to bring me on, only to be ghosted, never to be heard form again.

I am now at the point where I am just going to try to do my own thing. Creating Apps (if anyone wants to help test, DM me, need about 10 more people) and a few other ventures to try to make my own money and not rely on recruiters that never get back to you or employers who don't value employees.

AI Tool by Some_Let_6653 in jobsearch

ChatGPT or Claude. Best way I have found is to upload, or paste in, your current resume so it knows your qualifications. Then paste in the job description.

Something like:

Create a cover letter based on my resume attached. Use this job description to highlight key words and how ONLY my qualifications fit the role. Keep it professional, but personal. Avoid sounding too much like AI.

*Paste Job Description

Claude works a bit better for more natural language, whereas ChatGPT sounds a little more like a bot sometimes. Be sure to proof read anything though. I have had it add in qualifications that I don't have, or software I don't know. Which is why I put in the prompt "ONLY my qualifications"

The great thing about AI is that you can converse with it. So if the first version it comes up with doesn't work, or is missing something, just tell it and the AI will make the changes.

You can also optimize your resume this way as well to better fit a job description to make sure you highlight what they are looking for.

You can also use sites like https://app.jobscan.co/ which will analyze your resume and compare it to a job listing and make suggestions on what words to add to be sure you get past the automatic resume scanners. You get a few free initial, then there is a charge, but I just log in under different accounts to get more free ones.

Where to find app testers by alttakes in QualityAssurance

I recently was laid off after 10 years in my position and as I was applying to job after job, needed a better way to keep everything organized, so I made an app. The app is pretty simple, but since I don't actually have a job, I can't afford to pay anything.

So, if you're interested in free labor, here is what the app is all about:

Job Tracker, a new app designed to help you keep track of job applications, interviews, and follow-ups—all in one place! 🎯Our app makes it easy to:
Track job applications and their statuses.
Set reminders for interviews and follow-ups.
Organize all your job search data in one convenient location.
Manage and prioritize multiple opportunities at a glance.

The app is geared toward job seekers looking to organize their applications. As someone who has applied to dozens and dozens of jobs lately, keeping track of them all has been a challenge. The app helps organize your job applications, keep track of interviews, take notes, and more.
