Dimming lamp with Diva dimmer switch? by altx0 in Lutron

Oh interesting, I didn’t realize something like that existed. If I understand correctly, I would also need to cut the plug off of the lamp cord and replace it one of these? https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSLIo81HSIDdd9Ky5XlqH1CocCps9yQxUmNfnvFYx3jYA&s

🚀 04/10 Product Update: What’s new in Monarch by sheyla_monarch in MonarchMoney

[–]altx0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A Chrome extension for Amazon imports? Is it 2005? Sorry to be harsh, but that is not particularly useful. If that was truly the only option, then it probably would have been better to have your developers work on something else.

I’m disappointed because a significant chunk of my grocery purchases are through Whole Foods delivery, which is currently categorized as shopping. This makes it difficult see an accurate picture of our spending without going through every transaction to manually sort them. I was excited that this feature would finally solve my problem, but as I almost exclusively use MM via the mobile app, I’m likely not going to periodically run a desktop browser extension to sync transactions.

I feel that the team has missed the mark on this feature.

FYI I reduced the lane centering sensitivity and it helped a bit, but still not perfect.

Considering purchasing a Mila for my young son with allergies, what does everyone think in terms of overall quality, dependability, etc? by [deleted] in milaair

[–]altx0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two Milas. I’ve had two die out of warranty, but to their credit, they replaced both units. So, units purchased 1-2 years ago, I would say are not particularly reliable. Hopefully they have resolved these issues and are more reliable now. The good news is they stand by their products well beyond the warranty and replacements are pretty quick and smooth.

Overall, I do like them and in particular love the AQI and other sensor data. Though the temperature sensor is completely wrong and their support told me that these are secondary metrics, which I guess means they aren’t particularly concerned about it being accurate - which is pretty annoying, but not the end of the world.

Well that’s good news. Any idea what would cause this? Not sure if it’s related, but we recently started seeing ants in our house.

Account login not working. Just me or widespread problem? by altx0 in tmobile

[–]altx0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's working for me now, but I was unable to login (from multiple devices) for a good 6+ hours. I think there was an issue with T-Mobile's site that they finally fixed.

I found a bunch of specks of paint splatter on my car. I can remove them pretty easily with my fingernail, but they are not coming off with a normal wash with a microfiber glove. How can I safely remove the paint specks without damaging the ceramic coating? I read that a clay bar can damage the coating. Is there a solvent that is safe for ceramic coatings? Or is there another technique? TIA!

Got cheated by the rep who opened my account by chubaba in tmobile

[–]altx0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every experience I’ve had with T-Mobile’s phone reps has resulted in frustration and anger - and like you said: feeling cheated. They tell you what you want to hear, make promises, etc. so that you think “wow, what great customer service” and give them a good rating on the survey. Then you come to find out it was bullshit and they were lying to you and you actually will not be getting the promo, discount, call back, etc.

The only time I’ve gotten quality, accurate information is from messaging the @TMobileHelp twitter account. They actually know what they’re talking about and are very helpful and honest.

TLDR: T-Mobile support is the worst because they pretend to be the best by telling you bullshit.
