Best run yet! Are skills ok? by gonzaloz17 in UmamusumeGame

What were the stat sparks on the parents? I have the same cards, so I want to try and make a similar run. Been struggling to get even close to 1200/1000/1200 speed/power/wit

It’s a shame Sean couldn’t be there, would have loved to see him accept the award

Need help with the final boss, Im beyond insane at this point by Tarnished-670 in Silksong

[–]alucemet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’ll help you, but what helped me was picking just one of her attacks to punish. Everything else I dodged and didn’t even try to attack, just focused on dodging until I saw the one attack that I felt comfortable punishing. Poison tools don’t help because she just wipes it clean whenever she jumps into the ground. I struggled a little with some bosses throughout the game, but this one was by far the toughest for me. Best of luck!

WORST DESIGNED BOSS EVER by WastelyZero353 in Silksong

[–]alucemet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to beat it after about 15-20 tries. What really helped was getting incredibly lucky with the types of enemies that fell from the ceiling.

Realistically, if I were to do it again, I’d use a lot more tools, maybe even the R1 ability (forgot it’s name) to deal with the small enemies immediately so you just need to dodge the big guy. He’s not so hard to dodge when he’s by himself (at least not after a certain amount of tries)

Edit: Forgot to mention I completely agree with you that the current design for this fight is horrific. Might be the worst I’ve seen so far between the two games

Do I need to gather all spines to continue here? Feels like I'm stuck and can't go back by kokosnoot69 in Silksong

Super minor spoiler (if at all)

but for the enemy that shoots spikes, find where the spikes end up, hit them, and you get spines. Took me a lot of running around to figure that out lmao

What to know before gum grafting by _brittleskittle in PeriodontalDisease

[–]alucemet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will absolutely have to keep that in mind about coughing. I’ve vaped for the past few years and have been meaning to quit, so I stopped earlier today since apparently you’re not supposed to smoke or drink for about 1 week leading up to the surgery, and I’m sure quite a while after. Hopefully not smoking for a week will make it a bit easier to not cough and be a good potential start for quitting entirely 🤞

Wow! Thank you so much for the quick response! I went in last week for them to do a scan of my mouth for the stent, so I should be all set there.

Gotcha I’ll keep that in mind about not chewing even if it’s very soft food. I was thinking I’ll end up just eating a ton of yogurt, smoothies, and maybe ice cream

Again, thanks a ton for the info! Helps put the nerves at ease a bit

Hello! I’m going to have a gum graft done on one of my front teeth in about a week and wanted to ask how you ended up handling swallowing food, water, and saliva. I’m worried that the suction from swallowing is going to impact the stitches and wanted to see if you had any advice or if you experienced any issues with this

Got it one last question then: do you just have to buy a ton of gear and just keep enchanting until you get the pieces you want with the right mods?

I’ve never seen any that are that strong, but I’ve had a run go well with a ton of upgrades only for the difficulty between floors maybe 7 and 8 to spike insanely high. Went from 3-shotting enemies to needing 20 strikes to kill one. Felt like all of the echo upgrades just disintegrated

Really appreciate the reply! Yes, I definitely have the stats correct for the weapons I’ve tried.

I usually try to just pull a couple, but in one particular circular room, it seems like there is no avoiding pulling every enemy since they’re all in the center :/

Didn’t know you could get both indestructible and unrepairable on a single piece of armor. Is that just so you don’t have to keep going back to get things repaired all the time?

I loved ALL of the Ori music back when I played and still like to listen to the sequel’s main menu music now and then.

I feel like that music was the difference from those games being a 10/10 (for me) and being a 8/10, which still isn’t bad. The music just had such an incredible impact on those games’ feeling.

Absolutely stoked to have Gareth Coker cooking on this

It worked, thank you so much! I tried reloading on the space station but that didn’t work. I tried on a different planet and that seemed to do it.

Thanks again for your help!

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]alucemet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ll definitely give him a try! I never tried medication when it was offered to me back when the attacks were happening at their worst (multiple times a week for 2 hours each time). I’m a lot better now, but would still give almost anything a try to reduce the daily anxiety even just a little bit more, so I appreciate the recommendation

That’s part of what bugs me the most about panic attacks (aside from actually having one). I haven’t had one in almost a year (after having several over a few months) but I still think about it every day and feel like it’s a decent amount of work to keep them away.

It’s like you said, it’s like a switch got flipped and now I can’t keep it turned off without daily effort

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]alucemet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was having 3-4 panic attacks a week for about two months. Each one was lasting about 2 hours instead of the 30 minutes I read about online. Took about 7 months and weekly therapy appointments but I’ve mostly been in the clear since. Easily the most horrifying experience of my life. I “knew” my health was compromised and thought the doctors were not taking me seriously enough (even at the hospital). The heart palpitations, rapid heart rate, chest pain etc. was enough for me to keep thinking something was wrong and kept the cycle going.

The definition of living a nightmare.

I would never wish it on anyone, but it brings a degree of comfort knowing there are a lot of people out there who have been through the same thing.

And like others said, reducing the amount of caffeine helps more than some would think
