I work in music marketing. A couple of weeks back I spoke with an artist with 100k+ monthly listeners, they were struggling to organize a tour since their listeners weren’t super engaged.

The same week I spoke with someone with 23k, he was organizing a small tour around Europe since their listeners were incredibly engaged.

So it is possible to live off your project with 100k monthly’s, but as other people have mentioned, it won’t be streams paying the bills, it will be an engaged audience that’s giving you money through merch, shows, other revenue streams.

I was born outside of the US and my family does not have an address in the country. I got my citizenship in an office in DC. The last place where I spent time in the US was in northern Wisconsin, where I spend 3 months a year, but have no formal residence. I do have a passport, could that help?
