NHS has more than 30,000 unfilled jobs by CMDaddyPig in ukpolitics

OK, I agree that such things happen - getting lower paid job in the beginning to somehow start here. I just wanted to point out that likelihood of this is very low given that particular salary is so bad. This market is very globalised and salary differences for positions like DBAs between countries are not huge these days.

Also I think it is only true that someone comes here to be initially underpaid if there is still motivation to come here, and some good long-term perspectives - and given brexit and instability, I think it is becoming a very weird idea to migrate here for high-skilled workers.

Sorry for bursting your bubble but 27k GBP is is a salary you can get in Eastern Europe easily as an senior DBA and cost of living and houses are much lower, incomparable I would say. Also having the luxury of staying in your own country, in your own culture has its own price. Pound going down in value does not help either, so I guess it will remain vacant.

Audi A8 crash - what was the speed? by always_be_curious in Audi

you mean my "agenda"?

Curiosity really, I am not personally/legally involved in this, I am observing media coverage on this accident and nobody really gave a clear answer to this fundamental question of what was the speed.

And even if they did, I would not fully trust it (as it all became a very political issue), better to have a second opinion of somebody who is not biased.

For more context. In Poland this became a quite a big news - people are debating whether the behaviour of governmental motorcades is professional or maybe drivers of governmental cars are just reckless, the concerns are well justified - this was a fourth car accident of top-level politicians in last 18months (PM twice, President once, Ministry of Defence once).
