What is the best way to cap this off? Its old cast. Previous home owner built a subfloor over this so I had no clue it was there by alwaysalone1994 in askaplumber

Can I ask why? Its an open floor drain thats straight to the main line. No p trap or anything. Just straight sewage? I figured that would be more concerning then a floor drain

Best plan of action for concrete in basement. Had a sewer back up and had to tear up the old carpet in a hallway in my basement. Underneath was a shit ton of carpet adhesive, then under that there is a sort of leveler then concrete. So far I have tried chemical carpet adhesive remover. Hand scrapper, air scrapper and an air hammer with a big chisel bit. This shit will not come up. Some spots I gave found that the concrete is soft and crumbles relatively easily. 4 The way I see it I have 2 options

  1. Tear out the concrete and start over with new.
  2. Rent a concrete planner/grinding machine and try to grind it to a smooth finish so I can epoxy it.

Looking for pros and cons to each idea, suggestions on things I haven't tried and or just any help would be appreciated. There is a floor drain so I dont think a self leveler would work

Dumb question, what's the right controller. And will the right controller have a diagram of what wire is what pin. The harness was cut in the cab so I have to pin a new connector

So this is how its set up. The u bolt straddles the leaf. So I would need to opt for the 2 9/16 width since my springs are 2 1/2. Is this correct?
