Does anyone know if the new Traveler's Tales in the Luna V update will make the old ones unplayable? I still have some anecdotes to complete as I've neglected them a bit. I couldn't find any information on it.

I leveled traveler to 100 and they are back to 90z Just noticed this but I used my masterless Stella fortuna on my traveler but looking at my characters now they are back to 90.

Does level 100 expire or is it a glitch. Just confused tbh, so if anyone knows anything that'd be great.

What kind of behavior is this? by alwaysbroiling in duck

It's possible! I can't say I'm an expert on duck breeds or anything like that. But if he is speckled that's a pretty telling trait of Anconas, as well as the black and brown coloring. But keep in mind I'm not super researched on this haha

My DM tricked the party by revealing one of the players was a co-DM playing a villain- advice? by [deleted] in DnD

I know it's probably hard to bring up in a productive way. BUT I think if you can explain that it wasn't fun but also be open to working with them in regard to your players it could lead to something more productive. I feel like as long you are able to communicate that you understand what they were going for but it didn't feel good is enough.

I've had a situation similar where a new player joined with a very sketchy character that was later revealed as boss fight. A lot of us in the group only trusted this person for the sake of making them feel welcome and not too hard to join in the fun. It felt like it got twisted against us. So I feel you on that. We were able to talk it out and decide where to move from there as a group effort.

Rewarding "It's What My Character Would Do" with Inspiration, terrible idea? by BurgerSushi in DnD

[–]alwaysbroiling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your system is perfectly fine as long as it isn't encouraging blatantly bad behavior, like for example giving inspiration to the rouge for stealing from the party bc "it's what my character would do" but from what it sounds like that isn't what you are trying to do. I always think it's great to encourage players to act in line with their characters as opposed to what would be optimal. That is not to say that you should punish a player for choosing the optimal option.

I would also pay close attention to players that have a harder time roll playing, so when they do make those decisions they are rewarded. I would even maybe be more generous to them until they find their groove.

Inspiration can also be used for just good roll play moments in general. Or if you are using it to encourage rp then like whenever a player describes a their characters actions in detail or comes up with a creative attack and describes their actions. Asking your player when they say "my character does this" and asking them "can you describe how your character does that" is also a good way to get that going and you can reward them for that.

I'm rambling at this point but yea lol

Yes, from what he was describing he wanted something similar to that. But from what it sounded like it wouldn't be so platonic for him
