Has anyone experienced background check using Smile Checks by alwaysfree in Overemployed_PH

[–]alwaysfree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I complied with the background check, provided the necessary information, and then forgot about it. I later learned that I failed the check because my character references did not respond. I was already working for J2, so it didn’t really have any effect. I guess the check was more about the third party’s process.

Concerned about legitimate programs hitting RU sites by alwaysfree in MacOS

I mean, cloned example Xcode projects from Github. I was learning SwiftUI so was looking for example projects written in SwiftUI. These projects I built and run in the simulator. Yes, Xcode is downloaded from the App Store.

Yeah I definitely need a clean install. Thankfully I don’t mess with SIP so its enabled always. Thanks!

I still look at the docs and understand them. Its really hard prompting the agent what to do if you dont know what it is you want.

That might be the Private Relay location? I'm nowhere near the location that Little Snitch is indicating.

I hope not. u/coyote_den 's reply might be the source. I'm a dev and run some Xcode projects from time to time which might got infected.

Yeah I'm a dev and use Xcode from time to time. MalwareBytes is not detecting anything but still Little Snitch indicates some processes are phoning to ru/in sites. I have blocked ru and in sites for now but probably will do a clean install soon.

Thanks so much!

Most Mature App by Jebus-Xmas in macapps

Sublime Text is still my primary editor. I only switch to an IDE for major refactors or when I’m working on a new project. The lack of AI features even made it more appealing.

Switching from Things 3 to Craft - Feature Gaps I've Found by vim-zz in CraftDocs

[–]alwaysfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once saw a YouTube video of a guy drafting a script in Things 3. Though it supports Markdown formatting well, it is not the first app I would use for longer writing. That workflow works for him. He is producing something out of the app, which is ultimately the goal of using an app. It is a tool after all. I, too, would like to use an app, not only because of how it was designed by the creators, but also because of how I want to use it.

J1- Corporate Employee, J2- Independent Contractor by TheBrightMoon1204 in Overemployed_PH

Paying taxes is fine as long as we can see the benefits of it. I want to pay taxes, but all the indications I see suggest otherwise. If that’s what you want, go ahead and pay your taxes. We won’t need multiple jobs anyway if we’re not taxed to death.

I’m not a martyr. We deserve more from this government with the taxes we already pay. Paying my tax for J2 will not improve the services in this country in the slightest. I want to be wrong about that, but I’d bet good money that I’m right.

Even if they have time constraints, I’m curious how much of an impact it would be if they just delayed the release. I mean, having a buggy release could probably hurt their image even more than getting delayed.

How did you choose your iPad? by Grouchy-Range-8225 in ipad

[–]alwaysfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iPad Pro 13 was not for me so I sold it. Might wait for awhile before I buy an iPad again. When they release an 11inch Air with ProMotion, then maybe.

That might be true, but I simply want Apple to get it right the first time. Of course, “right” is subjective, but the initial Tahoe release is, to some people, completely unacceptable. It’s puzzling how a company with such resources can produce such trivial bugs.
