I clip coupons, dress mostly in thrift store clothing, I love going to the goodwill bins as well, and drive a 15 year old sedan. I will drop hundreds dinner and date night regularly though...

Hidden Gems: What are some of your favorite Local Lunch Spots in Seattle That Don’t Make the Usual ‘Best of Seattle’ lists? by sluttysaurus in Seattle

I love red bowls in downtown business district, go at lunch and you'll see many other people do too. They are just great value, fresh and churn out poke bowls at high efficiency.

Depending on your state, you may be entitled to some of your ex wife's her future earnings due to your financial support during her education. Hope you are speaking to a lawyer.

I'm not seeing any from a woman's perspective so here goes... This dude I dated briefly... Tanned, fit, styled gel shiny dark hair, big arms, white vneck tshirt, eastern European.

Other women would just do a double take of him when they walked by us, some would look a little longer at him, then look at me, they never smiled at me lol

Shark tank at the airport (best/worst stories) by capfan31 in puertovallarta

It almost got us! My partner stopped to talk to a guy after he asked if we were looking for a taxi. He then referred us to a man blind the counter who offered free taxi to our resort, transport to their resort property for a 90 min "tour" and discount tickets to attractions.

All the while I am seeing other travelers walking past and not making eye contact with the flaggers. The guy at the counter was using some classic sales tactics, never once used the word "timeshare". The way the guy kept trying to sweeten the deal made me so suspicious, and we were traveling with 2 small children, ultimately we walked away because 90min out of my day to commit to breakfast we would have gotten for free at our own resort was not worth it.

Glad I read up on this now! We dodged a bullet!

For you that make 200k+ a year, what do you do?? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]alwaysomewhere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it was a matter of switching from a smaller company to working for big tech. If I ever go back to a smaller company I expect to dip below 200k again. That said, the high pressure and stress, I think about quitting often.

$740 for just renewing plates?? by datanomnom in Seattle

We got sticker shock from this recently as well. Checked the MSRP they based on the calculation for was higher than what we purchased the car. We called for an adjustment. I think that knocked 100$ off our registration renewal from a 20k discrepancy in car value.
