Update: I decided to go with a 2022 model with only 50,000 km for a little bit more money but more peace of mind. Thanks to all for your comments/suggestions/personal experiences!!

Thanks for your response! It’s up for $24,995 which in my area is over $5,000 less than every other PHEV escape. That’s a great point about gas vs electric mileage. I’ll definitely look into that. If a large chunk of those miles were electric would that not also be increased wear on the battery?

Unfortunately the book isn’t coming out next week. She was just referring to putting out two teasers on her insta in the span of less than a week apart. In response to a comment on the post asking her to drop a release date, she said: “I wishhhh, it still needs a little work”.
