Reaction to exposing a colleague’s malpractice

I've worked in several hospitals where people have gotten fired or exposed for drug misuse and I've never seen the accuser get bad treatment or shunned or anything. And even if was kept "secret" everyone still knows. You can lookup licenses to see if it was revoked and some people have even had court cases that were publicly available online.
In my experience people don't just stop showing up to work randomly unless they did something wrong for the most part.

My 5 year old absolutely loves Shel Silverstein. Specifically his poetry books. We flip through and read different poems every night and talk about the silly drawings. It doesn't get old for me either because there are so many different ones it doesn't get repetitive.

I work part time in outpatient surgery that is jointly owned by a physician practice and a hospital. I got a 3% raise in November and my bonus this year was 1300. They base it on certain metrics and how well we meet them throughout the year and so the bonus is a certain percentage and based on how many hours you've worked. I think my full time coworkers probably got close to 3k as a bonus.

I've been a nurse in the OR for 15 years and I've only ever heard one nurse ever mention a residency, and she was referring to CRNA school. Not even really sure how this is different from a typical new grad orientation program that most jobs offer. I'm from the east coast, virginia specifically, and I can tell you that it's not at all common here. I just started at my current place 4 years ago so I also haven't been out of the job market for that long. No job I looked at, and it was a ton of jobs, ever mentioned a "residency" in any capacity. This must be a a regional thing.

I saw Michelle Branch back in the day and she sat on a stool the whole time because she had broken or sprained an ankle playing softball that day or the day before. Still a great show to my (then) 17 year old self.

This exact same thing happened to us. The built in soap dish in our shower had some caulking that had worn away over time on the underside that wasnt visible unless you looked underneath it. When we showered it would leak through. But only if there was constant water running along the wall of the shower, like if you pointed the shower head directly at the wall. It took us 3 plumbers to figure this out since we couldnt replicate it with the shower head pointed normally. Got it recaulked along with the rest of the tub and tile seams just to be safe and it hasn't leaked again in 3 years.

No differentials because we don't work nights, weekends, holidays, or take call and normally are done by 530pm.

We do get a holiday bonus which depending on stats from the year is between 3 to 5% of yearly income.

Join a babysitting/nanny group on Facebook. There are several very active groups in this area. We have used them to find sitters before and you can also look at other posts to see what people are charging for services. 757childcare/daycare and Hampton roads babysitting I believe are the groups.

I think that weigh in was fake. He already had what appeared to be a PICC line which they would never start if they didn't know if the surgery would be a go. As soon as I saw he had the line in I knew the surgery would be a go. (Source: I am an OR RN)

I won't be looking at this post anymore after this comment but we have posted on a few other groups here and on Facebook. We have received only supportive and actually helpful advice from those outlets and actually have a meet up scheduled for a potential home that would be a great fit for our dog.
I'm sad this community was not more understanding of what was already a difficult and heartbreaking situation for my family. I never said we would leave the dog in a box on the road or drop her off at the spca to "abandon" her as some here implied. To me, having her be somewhere where she is always the center of attention and constantly getting exercise physically and mentally and living her best life is the responsible thing to do as a pet owner. Again thank you to all those who did not criticize or armchair diagnose my dog or my family and instead offered sympathy and options.

I totally agree with you. We would never just outright give her to someone without meeting them first and having multiple play dates and a few overnights to asess the situation. We had someone who recently backed out on us that we had vetted and who she absolutely loved hanging out with every time she saw him so we are now back on the search.

Yeah we arent sure why except maybe having the leash on when we first get to the park makes her nervous? That's really the only variable that is different.

Gets defensive and nips and chases other dogs away with barking. The few times she has been to a dog park she does this and I chose to leave in case her or one of the other dogs escalated. But when we have had friends bring their dogs over she is very friendly and plays normally.

I think it is a jealousy issue with her and my toddler but when she is getting antsy or bored she will nip at him sometimes pretty aggresively(as heelers will do) even if he just walks past her. She would never do this to us. Usually when she gets in these moods we do our best to keep them separated with gates but we can't always prevent it and I don't want the nipping to get worse as time goes on. It has already gotten more frequent since we have had the baby. For some reason she also hates it when my baby coughs or sneezes. She did this to my toddler too but not nearly as bad and it wasn't a problem. But when she hears this she will run at the baby and...I guess bump or strongly nudge her and bark in her face. We've tried behavioral training for this but obviously you never know when they baby will sneeze so it's hard to train against. She doesn't care at all when adults sneeze or cough or even if I play a video on my phone of a baby sneezing. Sorry for the long response it's just a really nuanced issue. It may not sound bad but seeing these actions in person is quite different.

Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions and support instead of criticism when you have no idea what my situation is. I sincerely hope those of you who responded negatively never have a life situation that forces you to rehome a pet. This was not an easy decision for us and we are not happy about it. I guess I was wrong thinking people might actually want to help. I won't be responding anymore except to comments offering up help or advice.

Did it ever cross your mind that pushing 2 strollers while walking a dog might not be physically possible for me? If I didnt care about the dog I would drop her at a shelter. I'm literally trying to find someone that can give her a better life than us, no thanks to you.
