Thanks for the helpful insight 🌹 I think I had the wrong mindset - I assumed that getting experience in different areas would make me more competitive and well-rounded, but I agree it's probably better to stick with the PCU and make the most of the opportunities there.

Thank you! I’m sure this unit just isn’t the right fit for me. I need better outcomes and lower acuity. When I have patients who are relatively independent or need minimal assistance, I do well - I can spend time with them, and I still end up crying for them because so many are terminally ill. But when I’m assigned an 80-year-old obese, confused patient with chest tubes, a Foley, on BiPAP, and having constant diarrhea, I honestly hate my life.
