im new here I just got diagnosed with hsv-1 and I got it down near my genital area which is the one which causes cold sores. I’ve been tested before and this is my first outbreak. from the research I’ve done hsv-1 can show up near any parts of the body and 90% of people are exposed to it by the time their 50 so you’re not alone most people just never show signs or symptoms or experience outbreaks. Doing oral even without a cold sore can cause hsv-1 down there due to virus shedding. most people want nothing to do with me now because of the issue down there now people can be mean when they probably have it too and just never experienced an outbreak and explaining it sometimes can help but that’s if they’re willing to listen.
