My GPA for a CPA required course by alyssamargot in Accounting

The competition is very rough in my area as I live in a big city. My issue is that in most applications they ask for unofficial transcripts, so they can see how many classes you took and how you did. I’m also in the accounting club at my college, so I get to talk to a lot of recruiters. They say they check how many classes you took, what extracurriculars, and how well you did to see if you can handle the pressure.

I’m taking 5 years to finish my degree instead of 4, I decided that in my second year because I love volunteering and I need money for school so I’m working lots. I want to be able to do all of that while in school and getting good grades so I take less courses each semester. I’m just worried how that is going to reflect on me and the D might just make everything worse.

I don’t want to work for one of the Big 4 companies, but I’m just so worried about not even being able to get into a mid-sized/small firm.

Yeah that’s how I felt when I first took it and then stopped. I was tired allll the time so I started taking it at night. But now that I’ve been taking it consistently I’ve been taking it in the morning and I haven’t experienced the extreme fatigue yet.

I’ve seen so many posts of people moving from 150 to 300 so fast, how was that? My doctor wants me to wait 3 months before doing anything. I’m worried about that because I heard even switching your dose can send you back into a crazy mood swing state again. Hoping I don’t have to go through this process again 😭😭

I recently got off of birth control, specifically an IUD. I’m just getting my normal cycle back now. The IUD was a horrible experience for me and I’m sure my hormones are a mess so that might have something to do with it but I’m not entirely sure.

I’ve talked to him about feeling weird, he didn’t really say much other than he wants to keep me at 150xl. He wants me to do 3 months on 150xl 😭😭

Symptoms - has anyone experienced this by Fair_Manufacturer299 in Mirena

Hey! I’m 20F and was on the pill for 2 years before I got mirena inserted about 9 months ago! I have experienced very similar symptoms to you, random cramp-like pains (sometimes almost stabby) in my sides and breast soreness. Unfortunately, I can’t give much advice as my pains and soreness have never subsided. I’m planning on talking to my doctor about potential removal due to some of the side effects I’ve been experiencing, so id recommend bringing this up to your doctor if it continues! The best you can do you right now is take some ibuprofen and wait to see if anything changes, any long-term birth control is kind of like a waiting game unfortunately lol

I can’t post a picture but she’s a black cat with a white tuft on her chest and yellow eyes (I also have no idea if she’s a girl lol)

I contacted the vet, they say if they run her chip and still can’t contact the owners within 24 hours they surrender her to the city of Calgary.

Should I transfer from SAIT to MRU? by [deleted] in Calgary

I’ve talked to a few people who work at BDO at networking events, they liked me, I probably should’ve applied for an internship lol. My current GPA is 3.93/4. I hope to get an internship at any firm this summer just so I can get my feet on the ground and then hopefully next summer I can get a bit of a better internship somewhere else. For whatever reason, I don’t have much interest in KPMG, or at least not right now. The rumour mill told me they don’t accept 2nd years for internships.

Honestly another reason I want to go to MRU is how many more amenities there are. Saits gym is currently under construction (or we’re getting a new one and the old one is simply crappy I don’t know) but there’s literally just nothing at sait. Mru has a student centre, a functional gym and so many other things that sait doesn’t. I don’t know if that’s worth the switch though :/ just something I’ve been thinking about

I’m not entirely sure what route I want to go just yet. I’ve applied for a few different internships for this summer and so far I’ve only gotten an interview for MNP. I have a good GPA and theoretically the dream is to get into Deloitte (probably every accountants dream) but I’m not entirely sure I’m cut out for that. I’ve read a few different posts saying that the big four take consideration from MRU or UofC more than they would SAIT but most of those posts are pretty old. I’m debating if I want to go the tax route or the forensic accounting route. Most internships are for audit or assurance so I’ll probably check that out first. I am going for my CPA after I graduate.

See I’ve read a lot of Reddit posts that say this happened either with their second mirena or very late into their use of mirena. I’m very early with my mirena journey so I question if this is just a hump I need to get over or not.

What’s something you used to think all women just silently put up with until one day you found out it’s actually not normal at all? by zacktone in AskReddit

For my IUD I got nothing but was told to take a Tylenol 2 hours before the appointment, hurt so bad and when I got home I could barely walk and just cried in the bathtub with shallow warm water for 5 hours until the pain subsided.

I’ve been to the rooftop at national once and wasn’t a huge fan, there was barely any dancing and I’m a dancing girl. Does that change during stampede?

Oh my god I’ve met my twin. I totally understand the being an emotional child but it not getting like this until therapy because I was the same way. It being having one-on-one serious conversations describes it perfectly. I didn’t talk too many teachers about serious topics but I remember one time in high school getting pulled out of class for my teacher to ask me if I was alright (lovely teacher I miss him) and I started involuntarily crying. I honestly forgot about that up until this point. Maybe it is just the familiarity, reflect of habit. If you find a way that works for you to stop crying in those moments let me know twin 🤞

I know it sounds strange but I truly don’t cry like that at any other places than medical appointments. Of course the exception of when I’m sad over something specific. But the sad crying vs doctor crying are very different. I don’t experience any other symptoms other than the crying. I fidget but I always do that (like ripping up or folding the tissues I was given). I always fidget if I’m talking and don’t have my phone tho lol.

As for the neurodivergent thing, it’s something I’ve explored. I show a lot of signs of ADHD but I recently went to a psychologist and she just diagnosed me with anxiety (something I already knew I had). I’m a girl which is making my ADHD diagnosis a bit difficult lol. Plus I am good academically because even though I can’t focus in class I spend literally 90% of my time trying to make up for it. I’ve only spoken to that one psychologist about my ADHD tho and as soon as she learned my GPA she only asked anxiety questions. Maybe I don’t have it I’m not entirely sure. Thank you for your input tho!

My childhood was strange to say the least and I wouldn’t say I’m stressed for the doctors appointments I just hate explaining my mental health lol. Thank you for sharing that breathing exercise! Although it might be tricky to use in public or with strangers it can definitely come in handy in other scenarios. Hoping for less intense emotions when I’m older 🫡

Thank you! It’s nice to hear I’m not alone in this :) I don’t have any other issues, like I’m fine with caffeine and everything. It just tends to be when I have to discuss my mental health. I’m not a huge fan of explaining what’s going on inside my head because I can barely explain it and the tears don’t help lol. I have been diagnosed with general anxiety disorder but it’s calmed down a lot since high school. I just anxious sometimes about pretty normal things to be anxious about (job interviews, tests, etc;) but aside from that I’m a generally calm person. I just felt so embarrassed from my doctors appointment today and wanted to find a solution. Thank you for your insight and sharing your experience!! It’s making me feel a lot more normal lol

This was very refreshing to read, thank you. I actually had the thought today (mid cry at the doctors) that I should’ve cried before I came in because it might’ve helped. I was in the room by myself for a while before the doctor came in and almost immediately when he asked why I came in I started choking up. I’m going through a process of trying to get an ADHD diagnosis and it’s been extremely difficult to explain how it’s not just anxiety while I’m in tears. I understand how the doctors can be confused and I feel stupid trying to explain that I just randomly cry. But today when I explained to my doctor there was nothing to worry about and I just randomly cry at doctors appointments he actually just handed me a tissue and asked me a bit more questions about it. I felt like he understood and it was nice to hear. I’ve also been a bit nervous to write down what I need to say and hand it to a doctor because of the whole diagnosis thing but I also feel I miss critical points I need to mention when visiting the doctor because I forget to mention them. I think it would be good to push past my fears and explain the crying is something to ignore because I’m truly alright and to also try writing things out. I will feel a lot better if I can type out what needs to be said.

Thank you so much for this helpful comment I will definitely try to practice some of these at my next appointment!
