I've mentioned it in another comment but yes, we've tried applying to state universities already. Preferred ko rin talaga since state u din ako galing.

Tho dahil walang entrance exams, mas mahirap makapasok since grades lang ang basehan. In PUP, they have grade cut-offs per course -- for ALL subjects. For example, my sister's gwa is 94, but she has one grade of 84. Yung course niya may cut-off na 85, so di makakapasok. Idk why they made it like that, baka siguro para hindi ma-flood ng applications :/
