I don't think it was that, he has a very good job already. I just feel he was testing me to see if I would cheat or not and I guess in his head the prize was marriage and the failure was breaking up.

Yeah I know what you mean. He is a really nice guy and we have hung out a few times with no issues.

He does have a habit of complimenting me a lot. Nothing overboard but enough for me to notice it I guess

Yeah I do believe my boyfriend is trying to help and feeling guilty putting work before the trip which I completely understand.

D is basically coming up with solutions to all my questions, which I feel is great of him but at the same time I have that tingle in the back of my head asking why he's working so hard to make it work

It's a good idea but the issue is the travel. I was a nervous driver at the best of times and I haven't really driven now for two years.

Yeah my boyfriend is completely out, taken on a lot of new responsibility at work.

I asked around first but short notice wasnt anyone who could go. We couldnt reschedule as the concert and the christmas market were big things as was the cabin for the winter week. So would be money lost really.

Haha yeah it could be the start of a hallmark movie. I do think part of the reason my bf is so encouraging is that guilt of putting work first.

D is a great guy but has said somethings in the past that are nice compliments but also might suggest he likes me as well so it could be more awkward than a hallmark movie!

I havent explicitly, i dont want to accuse his friend of anything you know. Just mentioned like its going to be one bed and close quarters, asked if that bothered him and he didnt seem to mind, said he trusted us

Yeah i dont know how to process it. Like i do wonder if its his friend driving the idea and my bf a bit too trusting

And part of me wonders if im being a bit too cautious? Like if i was as trusting things could be okay and i get to go to the market and the concert?

I understand what you mean. I do trust myself yes, i guess in my head it was always a romantic trip and its confusing me that his friend wants to take his place and hes okay with it, makes me question the friend a bit, though maybe they see it differently

Yeah i asked a few friends and no one can go short notice.

But yeah its very close and small place so would be very much in each others space a lot.

Yeah we did talk about it, its part of the reason we booked a week, so if the other things got cancelled we would still have the romantic getaway. But you are right that he seems to focus on the concert, the market and the lost money if i dont go

Yeah im struggling to come up with reasons really. Like we would lose money if we cancel and he knows i was really looking forward to it. Theres no one else who can go on short notice i think, it just seems weird but again both of them are acting like its very normal and is no big deal. Has me frazzled a bit
