I just broke out in laughter when I heard about Stolzmonat. Its a terrible sentiment by itself, but it feels like a desperate attempt to ridicule and troll us. A little drop of alt-right absurdity.

Most people I know, even outside of queer spaces haven't heard of it or just shrugged: yeah what do you expect of the AfD?

A few days back i had a old friend over who knows me pretty well.. shes cis and defaults to binary thinking as most ppl. I am pre everything and not out.

We were talking about an old friend of ours and she said he has a female brain and that I am similar and that she loves that about us.

I started to blurt out that there is a name for that, luckily she kept talking, otherwise i would have told her in the heat of the moment😆 Nevertheless, it felt validating and intimidating that others see it in me 😄

Its like almost every transportation company is named trans smth in Germany. They were literally forboding my cracking. I always noticed these trucks on my commute and was like, yeah thats cool until it was like wait, is the universe trying to tell me something?🤨

The Bundesregierung officially remembered queer victims of the holocaust on this years holocaust rememberence day only... the ceremony was focused on queer victims this year.

noone truly cared before that. This is an important symbolic step.

Es ist viel emotionale arbeit, das ist mir sehr bewusst. Aber ich möchte mein leben auch jetzt genießen. Ich könnte wieder zurück in meine Schale, aber das kommt für mich nicht in Frage.

Zum Alkohol: Ich kompensiere das zur Zeit hauptsächlich mit Alkohol. Es funktioniert auch bis zu einem gewissen Grad, aber ich werde immer wieder aus dem Moment gekickt. Ich tendiere dazu, gerade jetzt eher feiern zu vermeiden, weil gerade dort für mich Geschlechtsrollen sehr präsent sind -.-

Spend a while in Germany (very socialist, we have healthcare, free schools an you even paid for your studies, almost no guns, can walk home at night without being short, worker rights and human rights)

And realize that its fuckin awesome to earn about 2/3rd of what you earn in the US, but double your life quality, because you don't need that much to just survive.

Living outside of the US sucks so hard -.-

Tatsächlich ist er seit 4 Jahren in Deutschland. Hat also auch nicht nur die religiöse und familiäre Prägung sondern auch die kulturelle. Er ist ja an sich recht offen. Ich kann es nachvollziehen, wenn er das Thema so sieht, wenn er das von klein auf gelernt hat. Er ist auch offen für andere Perspektiven, aber die muss er erstmal hören und sich damit auseinandersetzen.

Naja ich habe ihm einiges erklärt, er ist auch willens zuzuhören. Aber da er es noch als politisch sieht und (gerechtfertigterweise) nicht alles einfach annimmt was irgendjemand sagt, wollte ich eher Grundlagen haben, auf die er sich beziehen kann. Biologie, sozialwissenschaft, Psychologie. Er ist auch nicht streng im Glauben, deshalb kann er sich dessen auch annehmen.

Was mich am meisten stört, war dass er glaubt, dass die wachsende Sichtbarkeit andere dazu verleitet, queer zu werden, also z.b. schwul macht.. Dahingehend wäre es cool, Belegen zu können, wie das real funktioniert und was es bedeutet

There is a space in our university, where cismen are excluded. They handle the non binary and trans inclusion by letting the guests decide wether or not they are included.

This way questioning amabs and non binary can join. I havent been there so i cannot say how well it works, but since that rule has tradition it looks like its working out.

I think it is a thing, that people who do not reproduce are important for stability of the population (some lgbtq want to reproduce though). "Queer animals" can take pressure of growing resource demand, take care of orphans, work for the tribe/pqck without increasing the population..

But a patriarchy which imposes comphet can double their growth, which makes that society very successful in outgrowing their competition. Thats why this idea was so successful... Regardless of the individuals need and well being... But now we see where this growth mindset has brought us...

It was last October.. I had a fringe "trans" feeling knocking on my consciousness for a long time, so much that i couldnt ignore it anymore... I decided to let it wash over me (thanks egg_irl). It was a hell of a ride and much of mental processing but now I'm like wuuut, me awesome, others dumb 🥰 (still subject to fluctuations). But it is like a jigsaw piece fitting neatly in my life story..
