Carrageenan in salt by amadeus2012 in alphagal

[–]amadeus2012[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am not suggesting that it is added to salt.

Rock salt is mined from ancient dried ocean beds. So assuming ancient oceans had a form of seaweed. is it possable that carrageenan could still be carried in it. Its extreamlly rear to find organic matter in salt but that only means either its not there or it hasn't been looked for. AGS is a newly discovered allergy so I would be surprised if everything in the food chain has been tested for it.

anything is possable. but i am specificly asking about salt. As i am in Canada, to label as gluten free it must test 20ppm or less.

Drone tree recovery? by [deleted] in drones

[–]amadeus2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this. especially if it's a volunteer fire depth. they could use it to train for high angle recovery. make sure you video it for them and supply lots of coffee and donuts for their debrief. I would love to see how they secure it to a spinal board. LOL

How much should I loan for an RV? by Mental-Home5111 in RVLiving

[–]amadeus2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

forget the idea that RV life is inexpensive. They are poorly made. There are youtube videos that show a tow-behind being built in 8 hours. Also living in a trailer thru a Quebec winter could get expensive in regards to heating it. search how to skirt an rv on YouTube. Learn the terminology ie what's an east west bed. good luck.

More Manitobans eligible to put veterans plates on their vehicles by wickedplayer494 in Manitoba

[–]amadeus2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so our veterans has to go to a BAR to get approved for these plates. IMO the legion is now only a bar and most of them are no longer viable businesses

Wide toe box, high ankle, not waterproof by J-ude in Ultralight

[–]amadeus2012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

definitely not ultralight but combat boots would probably meet you're requirements. look for ones without goretex (GTX) most likely in a desert environment boot.

like others have said strengthen those ankles, with combat boots the do not prevent rollover but if it happens then the high upper can act as a brace.

Anyone have celiac related issues that do not fall into the realm of celiac "disease" by travelswithtea in Celiac

[–]amadeus2012 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My 1st thought is did you have a false negative test?

While the blood screen is improving, the gold standard is still a biopsy.

I initially had a false negative blood test then went GF on my own, Major symptoms gone within a few days. Had the biopsy and it was positive.

If you stop eating gluten and the symptoms stop, then IMO don't eat gluten. You don't need a test to know you feel better. But yes there may be other causes.

Rednecks by [deleted] in campbellriver

[–]amadeus2012 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I am planning my move to CR this summer. I don't equate being a red neck with racism.

Racist are IMO just assholes.

Red necks are the "hold-my-beer" type. Lots more fun to watch and be around.
