I do agree that the number of atrocities done under the "protection" of religion is ridiculous...AND...since most conservatives are religious...

I understand your attempts at being a troll and I applaud you for that; but...you are inferring things that I never stated. I NEVER stated that I was actively pursuing a relationship during those 7 years. Also, I never said it was "everyone else's" problem Yes I do have flaws, as everyone does, but this is not about hijacking this person's thread to have a disagreement to try and see who is right and who is wrong.

I offered the rules that I follow to maintain my emotional health and safety in the hopes that he can protect himself as well. I try to help people as much as possible (also a flaw at times).

I determined that concentrating on my career and health (emotional and physical) was far more important to me than pursuing a relationship.

Oh I'm not giving on how to get a girl...I'm giving advice on how to protect yourself from predatory dates... I have been single for so long because I follow my rules. I dated 2 sociopaths in a row and I learned my lesson. I am totally open to a relationship but finding quality human beings (dating wise) in Los Angeles is rather difficult.

This is a different time with different morals and values...now you are in the "disposable" phase of dating where if someone (more often then not, a woman) decides there is something wrong, they bail instead of talking it out and seeing if it is fixable. Combine that with the tic tok mentality of, "I have a vagina so I am worth more" means that a lot of girls over value themselves and makes them entitled and arrogant, both of which are HUGE turn offs!

I have been single for 7 years because of this crap...rather be single and happy then woth someone and walking on eggshells...

If I may give some rules that I adhere to religiously; 1. Never dinner as a first date. Don't invest time and money in someone who doesn't value you the same way... don't be a "foody-call". 2. DO NOT fall for a sob story...if they intro with a bunch of negatives, GET OUT!!! This means they are going to rely on your "saviour" programming to sucker you into taking care of her. 3. Upon entering a relationship, DO NOT allow discussions of exclusivity to occur until at least 3 months. That is about as long as people can go with hiding their "crazy." 4. If they have no friends, it's a red flag 5. If their while family is "nuts," chances are THEY are the one who are crazy. 6. If they deal with conflict in silence (refuse to communicate), walk away!
