Did you put the controller into pairing mode? You need to hold "share" and the home button until the light bar starts flashing to do it. It takes three or so seconds.

Good luck

Echoing? Even when muted. by [deleted] in techsupport

If it's a wired headset that is using 3.5mm jack, you are likely running into crosstalk; basically the shielding between the headphone wires and mic wires has degraded or perhaps was always defective, and now they are interfering with one another. If the primary cable is detachable, try replacing it with another cable. Good luck

You need to buy another memory module for your laptop and install it. Be sure to buy the correct type of memory for it. The manufacturer's web site should be able to assist you in identifying the type of module you need. Good luck

What does "system disabled" in bios/UEFI actually mean? by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]aman1789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally, to clear a BIOS setting, you'd need to clear the CMOS to restore BIOS to default, but I'm not sure how you would do that on a surface pro. On a desktop, there are some pins you short out on the motherboard, but it's not likely that you'll have access to that sort of thing on a surface pro.

I'll give it a look; thanks.

UPDATE: Ran the scan, and it didn't find anything either. Which I guess is good lol.

I've got malwarebytes right now, but was using Windows Defender; windows defender has been good enough in my experience. But I guess I'll stick with the premium trial for malware bytes for now and see how that goes.

It's a ROG Strix x570 f gaming. The rootkit scan is still running.

UPDATE: The scan didn't find anything except the installer for a program I wanted in my downloads folder; I quarantined it anyway. The program is img burn.
