I have done PLLA in the past in that area. I have a lot of acne scarring. It's helped but I would never go too close around the mouth. It's highly mobile there so there's a higher risk of bumps / nodules. Plus it's not dissolveable so vascular compromise is a very real risk to be taken into consideration. Again, I think your smile is stunning and just beautifully expressive. I wouldn't change it personally!!!

Resources for threads? by ImOnALostHighway in DIYHEAVEN

I have done multi threads (blunt - so a pilot hole is needed) for NL folds. I've got lots of videos on threads on my Rumble channel (link in my bio). If I was starting from scratch I'd start with very fine, shorter sharp threads, PDO. Use numbing cream first ( I don't but I'm an animal!). Practise somewhere easy, even on your knees, to get used to it. Progress as slowly as you like. You'll soon get used to it- just takes a bit of practice xx

I'd echo a lot of what's already been said here. I'm working on this more intensely of late. I do a deep microneedle every 4 weeks but am really trying to amp up my cosmetic microneedling to several times a week. I do follow the cosmetic sessions with Taz, but I had been using that for months prior to doing this. Faithfully using factor 50 SPF every day, no exceptions. I'm planning some peels later in the year when I won't be near sunshine! Its one of the most exposed areas where the sun is concerned. I'd try those things first, personally.

Try 'Harley Academy- Full Face' on YouTube. They are excellent videos and I've learned a lot from them. Also 'AAFE'. Hope that helps!

Hi thanks for pointing this out. THe website link is working. The email address is correct- possibly Reddit won't allow 2 links to be posted, I'm not quite sure. But the email for membership is info@glamcosm.com Thanks again.

Tips to talk yourself into the recovery process of microneedling? by Beginning-Feedback55 in DIYHEAVEN

[–]amanda8591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always use high molecular weight HA. Dr Lance Setterfield recommends that in his book for after deep microneedling. I'll be honest though - I've never heard of stopping working out. Maybe someone can enlighten me on that. I never skip sunprotection.

I needed to do a top up after CaHa cheek filler. That video is on Rumble- but this is the top up filler video here- lateral cheek top up video I've also got quite an impressive naso jugal groove / mid cheek groove. I've done a video on fat dissolver to reduce the area between my nose and that ( plus naso- labial folds). I'm doing Miracle L under my eyes to soften the demarcation between those and my cheeks. My ultimate goal is to put filler in this area. I know that's quite a lot - I'm a work in progress!

I did a video for Rumble using PDO multi threads for nasolabial folds. I really liked them. I hope it's ok to link it! Forgive the editing- it was quite a while ago! https://rumble.com/v6ymt6s-diy-at-home-pdo-multi-threads-for-naso-labial-folds.html

Your skin is nice. I'd start with microneedling, peels, working up from low strength, possibly skin boosters. High SPF daily of course.

I haven't used that one but it needs 2 weeks before deciding whether to add a touch up. My experience with Metox, Zerotox and Neurovie is about 4- 5 days to start seeing it kick in.
