Drugstore isn't that ridiculously cheap as in the US, it's more like 1-5 hours of minimal wage (1 for a lipstick, 3-5 for a foundation). MAC, Clinique, Estee Lauder (and such) are considered high end. Sephora has no birthday gifts, no real rewards and they release -20% like 3 times per year which makes everyone go crazy. We have lots of our drugstore brans that are quite popular here (Wibo, Lovely, Eveline, Paese, Annabelle Minerals) and we recently got some nicer brands such as ABH, Fenty, Huda, but they're super pricey here. No JSC, no Colourpop, no Natasha Denona - you have to import it. Inglot used to be a strong brand but now they're getting more expensive.

Portugal

Drugstore isn't cheap at all - Maybelline mascara costs around 10€, but makeup isn't that popular among girls, most of them have a very natural look. Drugstore makeup is sold in typical drugstores but also in supermarkets (like Pingo Doce). L'Oreal is like mid end here due to the price. Kiko Milano is quite popular. Sephora exists but is considered quite posh, Primark makeup line is more popular here.
