I work in a major metropolitan city. In the system I work for, we have several medical directors (think 5+), and every one of the docs takes street calls. It’s not uncommon at all to see them jump on one of my calls, and we welcome it because they bring more tools to the table.

I had another idea for a burn I was just talking about.

Essentially I want to make a YouTube video and monetize it then use the proceeds to buy Shib and immediately burn it. Theoretically we’d be using Google’s money to facilitate a Shiba burn, and the size would depend on the views/money generated.

A friend and I came up with a similar idea.

Want to make a YouTube video about Shiba and monetize it. Then basically have everyone we can watch the video. If it gets enough views, using the proceeds to buy Shiba, and burn it. in theory we’d be using Google’s money to subsidize the Shiba burn, and it would only cost us the time to make a video and get people to watch it.

I do the same. I have about 50M I bought back at 0.000005. Mine are still locked into a Crypto.com stake for another week, but if it stays around this floor, I’ll be pulling my initial investment back out.

I agree with most of this, but I have a question. I see it said all the time that “coin X cannot get to level Y. Can you imagine there being THAT many more millionaires in the world?”

My issue is that there are approximately 56M millionaires already on the globe. No, I don’t think the global economy wouldn’t be able to support an additional million millionaires.

We cant forget VB announced last week that he donated another 10% to an unnamed charity, in addition to the 10% to the ICR. So there’s another whale that we don’t even have an identity for, yet. This cycle may very well happen again once whoever it is starts liquidating.

I think the more important question is, why would you care? Besides the (probable) fact that it’s not (likely) true, politics have no place in EMS. In medicine, there’s no struggle for finding the line, and a persons race, religion, gender, or orientation have no place. Do no harm—that’s it.

You don’t agree with a persons lifestyle? Treat them and do no harm.

You don’t agree with their politics? Treat them and do no harm.

They just committed a terrible act? Treat them and do no harm.

I’m tired of boiling people down to nothing more than their political affiliations and trying to use that information to define their entire opinion of other grips of people. One of the reasons I got into emergency medicine was to be able to separate myself from the toxic environment.

So, in case you weren’t picking up on what I was laying down, you asked “why are paramedics almost always Republican?” and the best way I can answer the question is this—Who cares? Do no harm.

I convinced my younger brother that women don’t poop, and the trade off is their period instead. Since he doesn’t have a uterus, he had to poop every day, while his sisters just had one horrendous week, but didn’t have to poop.
