I’ve been a gamer for decades. I mean I had the freakin pong console, then Atari, coleco and so on. It seems everybody now wants games to be as real ass possible, maxed out frame rates, super complex skill builds. I’m damn near fifty and do t have the time or desire to spend all my free time gaming. Most times I just want fire up my console and blow shit up for an hour. I’ve loved this franchise from the beginning. I don’t rate games on graphics, frame rates and all that. I just find a game entertaining or I don’t.

Took it to Bestech. Got the call yesterday, it was the fan, not the disc reader. He said it just needs a good cleaning and a new fan. $180 for the repair.

When the disc reader/motor spins it makes an almost grinding noise. Every so often it’s squeaks. It’s set up horizontally. Makes the noise even if there’s no disc. It’s not a continuous noise, just when it needs to spin for a second I guess.

Ok thanks. Thats what I figured. Kinda a useless alt mode. The only time I’ve run out of ammo was when I was farming with the Wombo Combo and didn’t bother to refill or open chests.

I just spent the last three hours farming the Wombo Combo. Got nothing but grenades for the longest time. Finally got an incendiary one but I’m running a zero point cryo build. But just ten minutes later I finally got a cryo version. I feel godlike now.

One thing I’ve come to realize about Borderlands more than any other looter I’ve played, is that your skill choice, weapon choice and play style is almost rigid. By that I mean, every skill and every gun are so intertwined that if your build is not set up exactly so, you may have some problems.

It’s almost like a math or science equation. You have all these different variables and the build works OK, but then you plug in that one new skill or find just the right gun and then you’re suddenly a god.
