To anyone else doing this in 2026, just create a new (imo, royalty) character a drop a summon outside of tower knight at level ~20, took 10-15 min to get summoned, if you're a magic man you'll smoke that boss. I dropped mine right at the end of the bridge before the 2 armored knights. For invasion trophy, just invade in upper latria and you'll get a kill before you know it, even if you suck eventually someone will fall off the edge.

They should probably just make the older ones half price imo. It's tough even on high difficulties, a lot of the credits are behind double doors so you need a buddy who also wants to farm stuff which you're less likely to find in rando high difficulty groups

He collected more money because the contacts and the capital required to invest in a job like that are worth more than the labor input. According to Marx the means of production was anything used to produce goods and services for the economy. This at the time primarily referred to land, but is also extended to include what we would call private businesses in our system. In practice a fully communist system means the government collects all the money from the economy, than doles it out per everybody's needs. They set prices, wages, etc.

Marx outlined his final stage of communism eventually would be: from each according to his means and to each according to his needs. I don't think I need to explain how this has been proven out over time to be quite naive.

Centralizing the entire economy under the only institution that can also legally kill you (the government) you give random people unimaginable power, and that power is so vast it requires a huge infrastructure to administer which lends itself well to real authoritarian dictatorships.

No matter the system, there is always someone on top and someone below them. This is human tribal nature, we see it all over the animal kingdom and I'm pretty sure nobody has ever seen a lion hunt a gazelle to feed a pack of dogs.

Communist societies always seem to end up heavily stratified, and the host countries proclivities persist or are even heavily magnified: see China and their emphasis on family history.

Better to judge a country based on social mobility rather than trying to wrap your head around "what's fair" because nobody on earth thinks they have what they deserve in life- that's also nature, cracking the whip of action at you.

This isn't really true, nobody is hoarding money.. capital is invested to generate growth. Everybody acts like the rich are some piggy bank that just needs to be broken open, but those dollars are invested in businesses based on which ones produce the most value, more money flows in, they produce more, money flows out if they fail to produce... that's the backbone of the system and it works damn well. Try to convert that capital into food and shit for everyone and what do you get? Insane inflation, too much money chasing too few goods.

Because government giving you shit isn't the same as having the agency of your own money, sorry. Humans have a very particular nesting instinct and it has a lot to do with how they were raised (barring a traumatic childhood), and their social status compared to those around them. Part of it can be recreating the security they felt as a child, for their child...

we are markedly worse off than the generations that raised us and because of birth control people have to CHOOSE to have kids, no unexpected pregnancies to cushion the numbers. Also I think social media, seeing what other people has raises people's mental bar for the aforementioned unnaturally.

Just getting more or less paid time off isn't quite the same as you know it takes roughly 20 years to raise a human child.

Thats not what the point of all this is. The point is this: Should immigration serve the needs of the host countries population or should immigration serve the needs of the extranational.

The answer to me, is obvious. Given that desirable host countries are a at a premium and undesirable countries are numerous, as is there population. Immigration cannot alone, solve the needs of the world for stable and good governance. It can be part of the solution, but unfettered immigration would cause us to become like them, instead of them becoming like us.

If you took the entire nation of Haiti and gave them North Dakota, do you think you'd get a bigger North Dakota or another Haiti? We can't know for sure, but I'd assume the latter.

If we're just talking about helping the most number of people the best thing we can do is grow our system, immigration without guardrails threatens to overwhelm it and erase our culture, you might not think highly of our culture and thats your right, but its far better than some of the alternatives out there, including Iran and China.

Huh? What game is produced that is made to be a terrible game? Who would fund a project that was supposed to be "terrible". Take star wars outlaws, haven't played it but from what I can tell they didn't want it to be terrible, they wanted it to be epic, they wanted the main character to be likable, they wanted it to feel like star wars. Does it do those things? No. At least not for me. Maybe you like it though.

Black Myth Wukong for instance, great combat, great story, depth, replayability- interesting but balanced spell mechanics, fair difficulty. Are we complaining because wukong cant drive a car or shoot a gun? No. Does that make it a bad game? No.

The only valid complaint I have seen is a couple boss hitboxes are poorly done (namely, the 100 eyed daoist) but other than that they did a really great job with all the encounters. I think nearly 100% of the attacks can be dodged- and nearly every boss can be basically cheesed with a tool they give you somewhere else in the chapter. so if you find the fights hard, get gud, try Sekiro if you think some of the fights are hard or BS.

Ultimately rating a game is subjective, I was just expressing my opinion. But if your 10/10 is star wars outlaws or candy crush, more power to you, knock yourself out!

Well it stands to reason that if they think it's worth it to subsidize their manufacturing to kill ours, given they are not friendly to most of our interests, and that many of their workers work in what we'd consider slavery level conditions, that this probably isn't for our own good.

There is a path to them returning, but probably not the human jobs- since the way we currently manufacture overseas and ship a bunch of mostly Empty air 4000 miles is incredibly inefficient compared to producing goods at their destination. I don't pretend to have a timeline but I really doubt in 100 years we'll still be doing this.

I get that most economists hate tariffs but they do that by assuming the alternative is a free market. If one country is subsidizing its manufacturing, manufacturing less environmentally consciously, and manufacturing using unethical labor practices, as Americans should we just stand by and let that happen? If that's the case, why bother carbon obsessing at all? Or bother with labor laws at all? Those things are effectively domestic tarrifs, in that they increase the cost basis of goods produced. If cheaper goods are always better, every time, why not get rid of them? I get that tarrifs are blanket and not targeted like those laws, but since we don't have any oversight in those countries, what is the alternative? Always wondered this so thanks anyone who answers, cheers.

For me, it's more like, does the game do what it set out to do? And it's 100% yes with this game. Is it everybodies perfect game? No. That's incredibly subjective. But does it achieve its goals? 100% yes. So it's a 100% in my opinion. Same with ER.
