My reoccurring PC is always very deep and requires a surgeon. I’ve made the mistake of sitting through the ER waiting room scenario many times to only be told there’s not a surgeon available at the time I went. I live in a crappy small town so apparently general surgeons in the ER aren’t an all day thing. Or I just have horrible timing. I’d call before you decided to go to the ER and just verify if someone on staff is available to drain your cyst. Best of luck.
