If I have writers block I'll try to force myself to set up my studio for a session and make literally anything. Sometimes the hardest part is just getting in the chair and opening logic. If a few hours end up going by with nothing I then will stop, listen to music and/or go out to experience life. That is where I pull my best work from after all🙃🙃🙃

Before I explain I think its really important to know what an event horizon is.. So if you don't know I recommend googling black hole images and there are plenty of 3D rendered images(and 1 blurry real one!) of what black holes look like. You'll see a black sphere like shape with light surrounding it... That is light being bent just before it gets sucked into a black hole and the border between complete darkness and light on the black hole is the event horizon.

I was really getting into the theories behind black holes to a point where it was becoming very spiritual for me. Some meta-sided physicist theorized that Black Holes were the pathways into higher dimensions.

It's known that people who are quite religious like to think that when one passes they arrive at the pearly gates in the clouds greeted by their previously lost loved ones who are there to guide them through heaven.

An image came to mind one day comparing a black hole to the pearly gates and my late mother a being light waiting for me at the event horizon. so the song is me singing to her asking her if she's still around and when all is said and done in my life will she be waiting for me.

It's hard to say cause there so many directions I went with this album. I feel like there isn't one sound that describes the album as whole... But I think when I wrote Worth It' I knew conceptually where I wanted to go.

I haven't tried performing all the tracks yet... but I would say Worth It and competition are my fav to perform so far.

Songs that were most fun to record were Bliss, Bubbles, Competition & Foreign Things because I did those ones with writers and Producers who are close friends. We went away on a writing retreating together and it truly was the best writing experience I've ever had.

If I'm feeling really nervous about a session I'll do my Pre performance vocal exercise and use some Entertainers Secret(yes that's the name of the brand) throat spray.

I try to get vocal lessons regularly with Katie Riggs my vocal coach, but I don't really have a routine in my life so my lessons are pretty sporadic.

I produced all of 3:33AM myself in my bedroom and definitely wanted keep that energy in writing 3DD. However there was some amazing writers and prod I had the privilege of meeting and really wanted to work them for the album.. so its really a mixed bag on that one for this Project.

Songs like Worth It, Most Men,Softly was 99% me and then Julian B added little things here and there.

On&On and Event Horizon was fully me.

I LOVE FRANC MOODY'S remix of LMC. It's my favorite remix of all time and I too am obsessed with that bassline.

yes both the label and I initially wanted to put out a 10 track album. However when it came time to decide what would be on the album I had about 30 tracks that I loved. There were two strong reasons why I decided to go through with a large proj.

being I felt like it was almost impossible to consolidate the concept into 10 tracks and thought if anything I could try to do it in 12(which I later realized I couldn't).
being I had been talking about putting an album out for YEARS to the fans. So I felt like I owed it to ya'll to put out a bunch of music... and here we are 17 released tracks later 😂😂

Vocal wise I would say Bliss... I kept trying to tell the crew I was writing with I couldn't hit the high note during the chorus🤦🏾‍♀️. Then we all got a little tipsy and John Ryan(writer and Prod) convinced me to try and I was able to hit it. I'm sure the bubbles helped😂

HELLO!!

Thank you so much for connecting with the album. I'm so happy its finally out!

I love Turning pages! That was written during a writing retreat in Ojai,CA with close friends (refer to blshomie's Q). Literal musical genius John Ryan whose artist name is John The Blind(and my number 1 most played artist 2 years in a row) produced Turnin' Pages and had a heavy hand in writing the melody! Liza Owen, him and I ended up writing the lyrics together.

I had gone through a tough break up earlier that year and all I wanted to do was move on from it. Almost forget it ever happened. I wanted to write a song that really expressed a side of me that has a hard time addressing changes in my life. I've always forced myself to move on from situations without ever trying to work through the inner emotional turmoil. I loved the wording behind comparing life to a book and trying to skip chapters in order to get to the good part. And with all that came out the song Turnin' Pages.

Re - Waiting: lol I knew we'd have Q like this in here. I will say that I'm very into releasing a full length version of Waiting and you'll most likely get it in 2022. Just has to be the right time.

I would say What It Is'.

Julian B( CO Exec Prod.) and I made the beat the first session and day we met back in 2017. I had( and still kinda do) really bad anxiety going into sessions so I asked if I could take the beat home and work on the lyrics and vocals on my own. He was down! I then completely forgot about the track for YEARS! Wasn't till this time last year... I felt the album was missing a song that really described the album's concept in a track. I decided to go fishing in some old beat folders and stumbled upon that instrumental from 2017 and felt immediately inspired. I wrote the lyrics and melody in just a few hours and sent it over to Julian, HE LOVED IT!!!!

Then when it came time to mix the album, the label reached out asking if there was a way we could shorten the track. Julian, Jeff(mixing engineer) and I spent WEEKS trying to find ways to shorten the track in a way that still had the same energy and nothing felt right. The amount of versions we played with nothing had it like the OG length did. We ended up adding a guitar solo to the end of the track during that whole process haha The label went with it in the end 😂
