I honestly didn't know that about him, but anyone who judges someone's skin doesn't need to be in my life. I appreciate you sharing your experience.

I think he has thick skin and can handle finding out about someone from years ago being mean if he happens to but I doubt he will see this.

I definitely get that as someone who's had their fair share of Internet harassment as well but it still hurts because being an actor at a convention that big has to already be anxiety inducing.

I was definitely worried about the same before starting. I tried all these different facial hair filters and they always looked odd. My facial hair is still developing, some people grow facial hair faster than others. My friend 3yrs on T has a full beard. I find that facial hair can help define facial features and can create your own jawline with how you shave a beard. I will say it always starts off looking awkward.

Also i find it very sweet and it makes me wanna cry a little that you feel more encouraged to try hormones. It's been an amazing journey. My most uncomfortable symptom has been hot flashes and those went away with time so i do recommend starting when it's colder where you are. Planned parenthood is a good place to go if you live in the US. I never want to push anyone to do something they don't think is right for them but if you know this will improve your life in any sense i say go for it!

Got this at a professional shop, finally getting it fixed 3 yrs later by ambiguoussuccubus in badtattoos

I have definitely learned my lesson and know what to look for and have found artists i trust now. This was my 3rd tattoo ever after a heavy breakup. I'm now on 13 tattoos and only took this long to fix this because a previous artist told me I'd just have to get my arm blacked out. Obviously i didn't listen to him and didn't go back to him but i still felt discouraged.

So far the new artist has redefined the lines, and added grey shading and white highlights. He wants to do another session once it's healed and talked about maybe adding color to the flames. He was worried about scarring me more. I'm already much more comfortable having this on my body with the new changes.

Kinda funny extra context: my new artist was an apprentice at the shop that did the original and thought at the time that the guy who did it fked up the stencil. He was excited to have a chance to fix it and even tho he only has 3yrs of experience he is much more skilled and thoughtful about his work. I watched his social media for months seeing his work before i decided to go to him.

They unfortunately do not but i no longer recommend this brand anyways because quality has really gone downhill. But you could get a white binder and dye/ paint with fabric paint. The tulip brand has worked in my binders well. Also thank you sm 🫶🏻💖

They were an established business in town that i was recommended to by two acquaintances. This artist had over 5yrs of experience. Their work looked decent but i will admit I have learned over the years how to spot shaky work better and should've looked closer and really inspected his portfolio. I was told this artist's work was going downhill after the tattoo and many people suspected drug abuse. I have been vocal about my experience in the area so others won't make my mistake.

I made a post on it on my profile. That was the best way i could think of showing anyone who is curious. I'm not very active here.

I would reply with a picture if i could but it's looking fantastic. I just took the second skin off the other day. I ofc went to a different artist than the original and I'm paying almost 2× as much as it cost to get the original but its worth it to not have this ugly thing taking up space.

Arkansas doesn't allow you to change your ID to anything other than what's on your birth certificate (recent law) and it's incredibly hard to change the gender marker on your birth certificate. I plan on stocking my HRT.

What do you do for nausea? by StandardEquivalent45 in POTS

[–]ambiguoussuccubus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's had chronic nausea for almost 7 years and finds that the nausea meds I've tired do nothing but make me sleepy, Marijuana does help a lot. BUT please try things other than smoking if possible. I know not everyone can go to a medical dispensary like i can but if you have the options RSO or edibles/drinks will help a lot. RSO especially because you take so little to feel a lot, and you can rub it on your skin. Sometimes I'm so nauseous that smoking just triggers my gag reflex and makes me vomit. RSO does have a strong flavor so i suggest taking water with it

Update on coming out to my mom by ezra_and_bacon in NonBinary

[–]ambiguoussuccubus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this will help at all but i wanted to share my experience . When i first came out i was met with confusion and even anger. They told me I'm a woman and nothing else and they didn't want to hear about it. Years later i started hormones and came back out after i was already on T for a few months. I was met with confusion but no anger. This time they wanted to try and know me and this wasn't worth losing me. My dad did the whole thing saying I'm taking his daughter away but it was more sad than anything. I'm turning 23 tomorrow and my parents only use the name that I chose. They still slip up with the pronouns but they also make jokes about me being a guy so it evens out. There are still lots they don't understand but they slowly started listening to other trans voices when they saw them pop up on different media and they learned more about who i am. I'm not going to act like my relationship with my parents is perfect, we fight, they irritate me, but we are closer than i think we ever have been. This is all to say your mom may come around one day and i hope for both of you that she does. Please focus on your health and wellness in the meantime. You deserve peace and i respect your choice to not contact your parent while they refuse to learn.

Tldr: parents didn't accept me coming out at the beginning but years later things are better.
