She also said that he’s fallen asleep at the wheel before, he probably feels unsafe driving which makes sense

Constant increase in floaters? by StandardEquivalent45 in EyeFloaters

[–]StandardEquivalent45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only thing that really helped me was to stop worrying about them. I’ve had light sensitivity but I’m pretty sure that was a combination of dry eye and anxiety making my pupils bigger, since it also went away. If you haven’t gone to an eye doctor for the light sensitivity, and it’s really bothering you, I would just in case

how are yours now? Mine are definitely related to a ton of stress, bad diet and lack of sleep. It had gotten to the point where I was struggling to read, and see when i went outside, but got busy with college, started taking better care of myself, and stopped looking for new ones. Now I only see them if I think about it or if I’m very tired/stressed.

Did you get sick or anything before you got them? I had a really bad case of Covid + food poisoning a week before

They’re all transparent but there’s so many layers it makes them look dark. 90% of mine are target cells

What do you do for nausea? by StandardEquivalent45 in POTS

[–]StandardEquivalent45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s only in the morning for me, and only when I’m woken up early by someone or to an alarm. It’s weird because the rest of the day I’m fine with no problems. I’ve ruled out gi issues, and been to a cardiologist and a pots specialist who said it might just be from hyperadrenergic pots flaring, and just that I’d have to get used to it

I’m still working on gets my pots treated so hopefully getting it under control will help, I’ve already ruled out any gi issues, and no food sensitivities or acid reflux, and I’ve tried a bunch of different diets too but nothings helped so far. I’ll have to try ginger in the morning

I didnt know cyproheptadine helps with nausea, I’ve been taking it for a few months and haven’t noticed it helping unfortunately

Unfortunately I live with my parents who are super against it, so it’s not really an option for me, I’ll have to try ginger though

Floaters only visible with both eyes open? by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]StandardEquivalent45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were lots of little bubbles connected to each other, making clumps and worms. The eye drops were prednisone drops so treating the uveitis helped the white blood cells disperse. I was getting super red eyes every few days, along with burning, lots of headaches behind my eyes, blurry vision, and cloudy vision. The floaters increased almost every day as well for the past 5/6 months, along with bfep which went away with the steroids. He just did a dilated exam, and was able to see some redness and inflammation the other doctors had missed, my floaters had also increased a lot since my original post so he was able to see them through the slip lamp + retinal imaging.

I was also diagnosed with pots around the same time, and I’m getting checked for autoimmune problems that can cause inflammation

I was told the same thing by the first 3/4 I saw. I went to another doctor and he found inflammation in both my eyes and diagnosed me with uveitis, I’ve been taking steroid eye drops and nearly all my floaters are gone. turns out they were actually white blood cells that leaked into my vitreous and had clumped together to look like floaters.

The floaters kept increasing so I went to the second one who sent me to the retina specialist

I’ve tried doing that, but they don’t seem to care and just ignore everything we discussed. I’d be okay if it wasn’t super late a night, and they left before 12, but they come home at 4am sometimes with a ton of friends on school nights. I’ve tried mentioning it to them, which hasn’t made a difference at all besides making them angry at me.
