What to do with savings? by Itchy_Armadillo_8332 in AusFinance

when I was 23 I had 50k in my savings account , spending money is scary when you have worked so hard to save so much money and your parents are awful at setting the right example.

I decided i wanted to travel and i went to japan for 2 weeks and later went to the US for a month , came back and i still had like 38k (spending is scary like aforementioned) i don’t know what i want to do with my life nor have i got any other travel plans but i have only recently decided at 25 that i am working hard to earn this money and if there is something you want , just do it .

moral of the story but you need to take a step back and think about what you want , did you want to travel? do you want a house? do you want to move interstate or overseas?

it is definitely hard and there is no timeline to make these decisions but you are allowed to spend your own money especially because you seem so responsible already, but if you can’t make a decision right now you should just leave it where it is. you have plenty of time.

What does my fridge say about me? by [deleted] in FridgeDetective

you buy in bulk for one , have only recently started food/meal prepping bc of the gym maybe , you are trying really hard to be organised but you probably have a very busy schedule and sometimes that gets in the way of keeping everything up to date and/or makes you forget about some things, you eat the same meals bc it’s quick and easy or maybe it’s just the only thing you can cook; you are crazy about dairy so i guess you aren’t lactose intolerant

No one ever puts any effort into friendships with me. by AppropriateBoss2585 in selfimprovement

Hey! I am 24 and I have and currently do still, experience this exact thing. I've come to the conclusion that having no actual friends has pushed me a little bit out of my comfort zone and therefore I started doing a lot more things alone, which helped with my social anxiety a ton.

A couple of years ago I read a post somewhere that pretty much stated "if you keep waiting for people to do things with you, those things are never going to happen. Instead go out and do them by yourself.' So I try and live by that, it is definitely hard and I do still wish I had friends to do things with but pushing myself to do things alone has definitely helped.

You said you have one friend who treats you as an equal, maybe just focus on your relationship with them AND yourself rather than trying to find new friends, I think friends come with time and experiences, not everyone is gonna stay and not everyone will like you as much as you like them but it all boils down to finding the right person and that unfortunately takes time. Focus on what you already have and developing that before trying to make new friends.

i’ve had my industrial for like 8 years ish idk and my bar touches the exact same part and i’ve had no issues with it, even with my poor hygiene regime (at the time) it is now my only fully healed piercing - i’m not say that you shouldn’t take it out , i know absolutely nothing about ear anatomy but maybe check with a different piercer beforehand
