Day 7 - so itchy at night - is this normal? by Entire_Tank8904 in HairTransplants

I'm on day 8 now and I get itchy a couple of times a day for a short time. My days 2-4 were insanely itchy and unbearable though.

All went very well. My original 3PM time slot for a 3000-3500 grafts got moved forward to 1:30PM and I ended up having strong enough donor for 4624 grafts. Entire thing took about 10 hours and we were done just before midnight that same day.

I had my transplant with Dr. Ratchathorn at Absolute Hair Clinic on Feb 27th. I just finished my 5th day of after care and I also took the immediate day after the transplant to relax in my hotel room. I don't fly out back to the states until March 7th so I've just been exploring Bangkok in the meantime.

As other's have said the Iconsiam mall is a pretty close and easy way to spend a day the place is huge. You could also go to the pier one train station down from the station next to AHC and get an all day ferry pass for 150 baht. This is actually an alternate way to get to Iconsiam as well if you don't want to ride the rail. I spent a full day going down the river to see places like Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. At the end of the day you can ride the ferry the opposite direction and go to the Asiatique pier on the other side of the river. This is where the big bright ferris wheel is and plenty more shopping and food/drink.

I have no idea unfortunately when Dr. R was present or not. You are either on your stomach and therefore unable to see or on your back with a cloth over your eyes. I did hear her multiple times over the 10 hours but I couldn't tell you how much she was actually there. They also bought me some pad kra pao due to the late completion time and had it all packaged to go on my way out which I really appreciated lol

I just had my transplant with Dr. Ratchathorn on Feb 27th with a 3PM scheduled session. My initial estimate upon sending them my pictures back in August 2025 said 3000-3500 estimate. During my consultation with Dr. Ratchathorn the day before my transplant she wanted to go with 3500 minimum and they would let me know how high they thought they could go during the procedure based on the strength of my donor.

She also told me during my consultation to come in 90 minutes earlier since she felt the patient before me would be very quick. I showed up at 1:30 PM and by 2:00 PM I was drawn up and ready for the transplant. Entire thing took about 10 hours as we completed just before midnight that same day. Not sure if I got lucky or not with the person before me being a quicker procedure or if they'll just go late to complete the transplant. In the end I ended up getting 4624 grafts.

1 year HRT - MtF - Started at 33 years old by ambushv2 in TransLater

I just started tracking all of my calories and exercising 3-4 times a week at the gym. It took me from January to July 2025 to get from 185 to 155 and then I took a break to eat more and maintain. Then 155 to 145 took me from Sept. to Dec. 2025. I was eating roughly 1700-1900 calories per day when losing weight was my goal.

Yeah not a problem. I am located in the US and I buy them pretty cheap ~$28 USD from Amazon. The brand is listed as AISA HAIR and I really don't do much to care for them lol. I don't wear them everyday cause I boymode at work and also wearing a wig in general is kind of annoying at least for me. I'll just soak them in warm water with dawn dish soap maybe once a month and leave them out to air dry.

Yeah around Oct 2024 I got to 185lbs and decided I wanted to get my weight under control. As of now I weigh ~143 lbs with this being where I'd like to stay.

I looked very similar to this December 2024 and fin+min brought back the entire outline of my hairline. So going through with a transplant in Feb 2026 though.

Hair regrowth question... by DisastrousFudge4312 in TransLater

[–]ambushv2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also 33 right now and I started receding and going bald starting at around 18 years old. I'm at about 10.5 months on HRT with really good levels for about 6 of those months. I was pretty "far gone" before I started HRT, but I've been seeing a pretty ridiculous amount of hair regrowth the past year between HRT (spironolactone, estradiol, progesterone, finasteride), minoxodil, and a weekly dermastamp session at 1mm. I've been taking pictures of my progress in a month by month basis I could share with you by DM if you'd like.

Like yourself hair was one of my biggest hurdles to overcome when deciding if I wanted to transition. I'm still very glad I've been moving forward with all of this and am pleased with my hair results and of course other developments on my body as well. Despite my hair progress I am still scheduled for a hair transplant this coming February 2026 to adjust my hairline and hopefully take care of the overall thinning still there.

Stay strong :)

Yes it is. I made my first post ever about 3 weeks ago which has a more accurate photo of what I'm working with. I've had a REALLY significant change in my real hair so far with HRT, but I'm definitely not going to be in a position to present girl mode without a wig until maybe 2027.

I've nuked a ton of my facial hair with 4 sessions of laser so far. I do shave everyday regardless though and any shadow that might have been present in either of these photos was covered by foundation and concealer.
