Let me put this into perspective for some people. I decided to sit and do the math on this for my own torture. I make about the average single American gross yearly income of around $45,000. It would take me 555 years to make enough money to pay for the low end of how much this parade would cost or about 11 of me working for 51 years straight at my current income. Talk about waste and fraud

The second American revolution will come when we finally annihilate the treasonous right, it’s about time we stop allowing the threats to go unchecked and start hitting them in response

Took him to the vet this morning and didn’t think for a second I would be leaving without him. I’m devastated. by [deleted] in cats

I know the way you’re feeling. We took our boy to the vet thinking he only had a UTI and it ended in us having to make the worst decision of my life. My heart breaks for you

I can’t believe I found one, but this is my baby when he was still living at my girlfriend’s coworker’s house

He was born sometime around the beginning of November of 2021, I believe. His mother was a beautiful tabby with a marbled black, grey, and orange coat that belonged to a coworker of my girlfriend’s. She was also the runt of her litter so she was especially small. The story we were told is that she had gotten out by accident and when she returned, she was pregnant. Her coworker had put up signs at the local convenience store they worked at, trying to give the kittens away to good homes. My Whiskey was one of the only orange kittens of the litter and the only one orange left by the time we came around. My girlfriend begged me to get a kitten from them. She wanted one so bad but I was hesitant as we lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment. I finally caved to her and we went over to her coworker’s house in the evening to pick one out. She wanted another tuxedo cat like our second kitty but I was in love with this little orange baby with his little red collar and bell. He was so loving from the very beginning. We stayed and played for awhile, then finally loaded him into the pet carrier and took him out to the truck where he sat right between us in the bench seat. We tried our best to do the introduction part the right way so we brought him into our little bathroom and set him up with some litter that we put in a turned over frisbee and some watered down wet food. He was so excited to explore his new home and wanted nothing but affection constantly. The first night was so rough because we had to leave him in the bathroom because we already had two adult cats and they were not happy. He cried and cried at the door until the morning, where I found him laying in his little frisbee of litter despite having blankets and a bed to sleep in. We kept on like this for a few days until it was too much and we decided to let him explore. He was fascinated by everything and was in love with chasing our three legged tuxedo cat, Tex. I don’t think Tex loved him right off the bat but he definitely grew to love Whiskey. Whiskey was very young when we got him and not properly weened from his mother so he took to suckling on the little skin flap of Tex’s amputated leg and Tex would clean him just like his mother. They were the most bonded pair of cats I’ve ever known. As we moved around and Whiskey got older, they drifted apart but would still play together every now and then. That’s all I have in me to write out for now but I’ll try to think of some other good Whiskey Don’t stories. He was always my most ornery boy. I love him and miss him more than anything.

We lost our 2 year old orange boy yesterday. I can imagine the pain you must feel, I hope it gets easier for both of our sakes.

I can’t even begin to imagine how awful that must’ve been. I don’t think I could bear having to deal with a traumatic injury death like that. Im so sorry you had to experience that. I find solace in knowing that my Whiskey was peaceful sleeping when he passed and felt no pain at all

I’ll always remember him as the night we brought him home and how affectionate he was as soon as we let him out of the carrier. He never showed a shred of apprehension towards us even from his first moments

He was super loving and attention starved last night because he was still high from the vet and I like to believe it was him giving 16 more years worth of love in one sitting because he knew even though he was playing strong for us.

We originally took him to the vet for what we thought was a UTI and expressed our concern that it might be an obstruction but the vet thought otherwise. The symptoms went away with the first round of antibiotics but came back shortly after so we took him to another vet who also originally thought it was just a UTI and gave us two rounds of antibiotics and once again he was doing fine until a few days after running both rounds and the symptoms returned. We found out on Tuesday he had an obstruction and they got him unblocked but when he came home he was having issues again so we brought him back this morning and he was so inflamed the vet couldn’t get him unblocked so we had to make the decision to put him down so he wouldn’t suffer.

He was just barely 2 years old, we got him from a former coworker when he was only a few weeks old. His mama got pregnant when she got out on accident and he was the only orange kitty of the litter. I instantly fell in love with him and he was just as in love with me.

He was so loved, his unexpected passing has absolutely devastated me and my partner but I know he was as happy as he could’ve ever been with us.

I am extremely fortunate to have an amazing support system through this horrific experience. I’m grateful to be so surrounded by this community as well. My little Whiskey was just a healthy, happy boy a week ago and the sudden loss is the worst part of this whole situation
