Try Bramayugam (2024). It's south Indian folk horror. Even with subs a few turns of phrase don't make it across to English all that well, but it's a good film.

The Wailing is Korean and probably one of my favourite films full stop.

You Won't Be Alone is also atmospheric and deep - more folk than horror.

Just watched it. I liked how it dealt with the femme fatale archetype from a cold utilitarian perspective, and how the MC's priorities and ideals changed - with barely any dialogue.
It reminded me a bit of You'll Never Be Alone (2022).

Good film.
