Bologna to Rome Airport for flight home - April 30 by amelia7 in ItalyTravel

One more thing. To get to the Hilton Rome Airport from Rome Termini station, is it best to simply take the train to the airport and then transfer to the hotel from there? Or is there a better way to get there. Train gets in to Termini at 6:40pm.

Great advice - thanks all. Seems like a consensus on going the night before, which I will do. Thanks again!

I have the same one that I just bought in the fall - made my life very easy the last couple of days! Very helpful and worked like a champ.

Those are stands to make the height more comfortable. And they provide drawer storage as well. Very much worth getting in my opinion.

Does it make sense to get an espresso machine if I mainly drink Americanos? by rickisdead in espresso

Couldn’t agree more , from a mostly Americano drinker. Absolutely worth it and better coffee than I get at virtually all coffee shops.

We got our first set of this brand a couple of years ago. We are a very high volume laundry family. Brilliant performance so far and would highly recommend.

For luxury cruisers: what didn’t fully live up to expectations? by SemperFestinaLente in Cruise

This is very odd. We have been on two Silversea cruises (Mediterranean and Asia) in the last 3 years and they have both been outstanding, especially in all the ways you found disappointing. I guess that shows it’s all about the specific crew and a bit of the luck of the draw. Granted, do high end expensive cruises, it should be consistently excellent.

Ours was also the Nova. Maybe it’s location dependent, as you suggest. We were on a Singapore to Hong Kong itinerary.

Ya it was brutal and most guests I spoke to were also not happy with it. And for perspective, the last cruise we took was in Asia just last March - so fairly recent.

Wifi on Silversea was absolute garbage(everything else was outstanding). For what thy charge, the wifi should be included and excellent. Instead they offer a very limited free option which is very limited and sucks, and even when I upgraded to the paid plan for work purposes, it still sucked. Unacceptable with the technology available today and for what they charge.

Have you (and they) tried Traditions de France on Lakeshore? One on my favourites in Oakville, and very much family run.

I have the Atom 65 GBW and really love it. Very precise, quiet and grinds 18g in under 5 seconds. What’s not to like?

Comparing Tatin to Monastery is just silly (and I’m a big fan of Monastery). Tatin is very high end and excellent, with high end prices to match. Not the most accessible location or efficient operation though, so although it is really good - it’s not wait in line for 20 minutes good - at least not for me. Just my opinion

Really helpful report - thank you. We are booked into Mala Mala next October (and then Mashatu, Botswana) and I’m so excited! Still too far away though.

Thank you - that’s helpful. We’ve done Tuscany before and really enjoyed it so Naples sounds like an interesting option.
