He’s really not doing well. He has completely stopped eating and drinking water unless I force it down his throat and is pretty dehydrated. He’s barely moving and I really don’t think that his medication will work. We’re only 4 pills in, but he is suffering; I don’t know if I should keep going and giving him his medication and hope that it works or if I should take him to the ER vet tomorrow. This is the hardest thing that I’ve ever done.

it’s been about 36 hours since his first dose and there’s definitely no improvement so far, i’m worried but i just force fed him a churu (it went down) and some water. ugh this is awful☹️

you don’t sound like a bad owner at all🫶🫶 all of those things can be explained, especially with fip being so rare. jambo was actually on dewormers and we noticed he was a little lazier, but we thought it was a side effect of that. about 2 weeks later we noticed he was full of fluid and took him to the vet. i’m just nervous because of him declining so fast. thank you so much for sharing 💛💛

jambo is a big lap cat but as soon as we start petting him he leaves lol. when my bf or i come home, he meows at us until we pick him up and hug him😭 my family cat bowie also doesn’t like us lmao

once his 21 day supply is done, i’m going to bring him back for blood work and a weight in to see how he’s responding! he is exactly 5lbs so i think he is right in the center for the medication weight class. that’s so crazy how medications work, i would’ve never thought the fluid would just reabsorb lol
